I was one of the people in the stands that would yell and get upset at the ref. But I refereed peewee football for several years and now I have way more respect for the referee people seem to think that a referee has got ability to see everything on the field all at once knowing that’s not possible people steal verbally abuse you. So now as someone who played football for nine years coached football and referee football the referee gets 100% my respect.
Next Season after 2019 I'm planning to become a Youth and High School Football Official and officiate youth and high school football for 15 yrs and officiate D3, D2, FCS, and FBS College Football, Officiate Semi-Pro Football and Become an NFL Official and Officiate The SUPER BOWL.
If you live in Washington, the Washington Officials Association is an outstanding place to start. And don’t listen to Sam Buffington, you wanna do that, there’s nothing stopping you

Incorrect. The numbers can be one color contrasting with the jersey, as you mentioned OR same color as jersey with a border of a contrasting color (1-5-1c)
You give the kicker a break for having his knee pads not over his knees, and his coach complains you are "coaching" the player. Give me a break. I hope he came in again later like that and was sent right back out. Would serve him and the coach right.
My guess is in his mind he knew that the kicker/holder wasn’t under threat of getting hit so he looked at the up rights, even though he should’ve kept locked in with them until he heard the whistle

Didn’t see the game obviously, but it could’ve been a running clock mercy rule situation.
