@@miriamschiro8585 you have 1 person with the stick, one with the cards and one guesser. if the guesser has it wrong he gets hit and goes to the next card until time if up then you move the tasks to the next person. so if A has stick, B has cards and C guesses, you move the stick to B, cards to C and let A guess until everyone had a turn to fulfill each role. I just played this game with some friends and we have a question! One person was trying to get their team to say the word “balloon” and used the word “birthday” as part of their clue. However, they said it as “birth …. day” so it was two one-syllable words. The group couldn’t decide if that should be allowable or not. What do you think? Snow…man? Dough…nut? If it’s a compound word, can it be broken apart? (My vote is you can say “day of birth” but not “birth…day”.)
No, compound words are called compound words because they compound together when they're next to each other. Imagine if you went into a shop and saw a card with the words Happy Birth Day it would look very weird to you
Trying to find some information about one part of the rules but I cannot find it anywhere. What do you do with the current card when the timer runs out? Is it just discarded immediately? Does the team get to finish guessing that 1 card before the round ends? Does it count as a -1 "Oops"?
@@foxbear60 I still haven't found a concrete answer but we've just been discarding the cards at this point. Running out of time is bound to happen, so it doesn't feel right to add it it the -1 "Oops" since there is no rule breaking happening. Also doesn't feel fair to allow the team to finish since time ran out.
@@Charnold_Hoopscotch - This seems like what was likely intended. Some other games with a structure allow the opposing team one guess to steal, but I feel like that rule would've been pretty clearly written. Tossing seems most appropriate.
Weird... this video is in English, but RUclips assumed Vietnamese when it autogenerated subtitles. If you choose English it translates from Vietnamese. Needless to say, the closed captions are gibberish.
I've seen alot of people play this game. Can you say the word ' The' ? I never see anyone say it when playing, and in this video they didn't use it either. So I wanted to ask
In the rulebook it says if you Skip, you put that card on the 1-point slate of the other team, so which one is it? 😅 I know it comes down to the same thing, but still.
I've never played with 3 players, but you could just do it so that each player is a 'team' with the person next to them so that each player is a part of 2 teams and play the game with 3 'teams' instead. Where 1 player is the poet, 1 player has the no stick, and 1 player is guessing. After a round (or more) you can then see who has the most points between pairs. I figured making 'teams' of 2 where a player is part of 2 teams - once as a poet and once as a guesser, makes sure that a player isn't tempted to perform poorly to sabotage another player's points. Edit: If there are 3 people called A, B and C, the teams would be: A as poet; B as guesser, then B as poet; C as guesser, then C as poet; A as guesser.
At the end of the game the winning team picks three poetry cards and picks a grok’s words of love and sad card at random and fills it in the the three poetry cards and reads it thenThe losing team decides whether they want to hit them or not based on how good it was
@@TheRealTburt sorry I mean what do you do if the timer runs out and you have a card in your hand where does that card go do you put it at the bottom of the deck

Poetry for Neanderthals
Lol I love the way you commented this! Way to keep the neanderthal tyong going! 🤣❤
Yes 🙌
Your comment funny.
Was game good? Who win?
Rule manual: not allowed to speak in other languages
Non-English speakers who bought the game: cries in *another language*
The Lithuanian version says that you can speak in 1 or 2 syllables.. That's probably because we don't have that many words with 1 syllable 😅
They will get smacked for even thinking about crying in another language
*cry in not same talk style
There are different language versions.
I think the idea is to speak in 1 language.
"We're not that kind of people", says the man who hosts a game show for exactly that kind of person.

i did some upgrades to the set and made a wooden club.
so basically i have a summons now
I'm fairly certain I need Peter Sagal to explain all things to me. Instruction books, driving directions, recipes...
Closed captioning considerations in English for the Deaf and hearing impaired would be a wonderful addition to this video. Thank you!

timer always runs out so its pointless to give every team a -1 so just discard it
My interpretation is that if your team hasn't got the 1-point word yet when the time runs out, you just discard the card.

It's one syllable so yes, you can say "the." I think they leave it out on purpose in videos to give it more neanderthal realism. XD
