No matter what people say today...Gandhi Ji had huge power to mobilize largest chunk of human population. Today even with internet and social network we cannot do that. Take the example of swach bharat. It could not mobilize people to a great extent, which we intended it to be. Try to ask few people in your neighborhood without using telephone/social networks, to gather for a noble cause. Then you may realize how difficult it is to gather and convince people. Gandhi Ji has inspired a large number of world leaders and. Nelson Mandela, Martin luther king, Barack Obama, many noble laureates as well... Gandhi Ji will keep on inspiring many...
Obviously he was granted that by the British. In a British government do you really think they wouldn't be able to cotrol one old man? They obviously saw he was influential, his influence was starve, non violent and keep your mouth shut which was perfect for the British government. Churchill wanted Indians to keep their mouths shut and starve to death, hence all the famines in India. Gandhi this figure was advertised cleverly. World wide interviews were allowed. Americans interviewed him!!!! If the British government wanted to shut him up they would have done so easily. Read what they did with Bhagat Singh and company.
Next generation will remember Modi for his hardwork, innovation, patriotism, articulation, smart politician, courage, diplomacy, leadership, selfless service...

The one who did sex experiments is a true Yogi? Even a young kid in India would do so upon being told to control senses when needed. But this 80 year old man was still experimenting with sex control. What is there to experiment? Just like a when kid is told not to insert his fingers in a table fan, if the kid is intelligent he will not insert his fingers. But a dimwit like Gandhi, would insert his fingers in the fan only to find out it will hurt him. Where is the need to experiment, except for dimwits ?
It seems some colonial powers have escaped scrutiny of their actions in other countries simply by diverting the attention elsewhere. If Germany was held accountable so should others. I don't identify myself as a Gandhian. I have many reservations about many of his positions. But, I do think that He was the man of indefatigable spirit, extreme physical strength and deep understanding of Indian downtrodden population. He could unite rural Dalit, urben trader and women together for a cause like Indian independence. He could inspire people of all classes, castes and religions together. He was suave politician and knew nerve of Indian psyche. I think, hate towards Gandhiji we observe in India under current regime is due to the fact that 'they can't erase his memories and contributions'.

Very few in history could claim to add a few new words to the world civilization and human heritage. Mahatma Gandhi single-handedly wrote an entirely new chapter in it!
it's ironic that he didn't want it in writing, when I went to find a book about Gandhi the last book is it if he did write a book it was a slim a thin book his last book and he I understand that he wanted to avoid in his teachings and words twisted. like Bible. Gandhi wanted his teaching to be more than that like you are doing here to comment about it for it to be. No easy feat.

i respect india and gandhi but when jinnah presented the 14 points in late 1920s which was basically like more rights for muslims the congress rejected his points so the same happened with congress in 1940s when they tried their best to convince jinnah that he should withdraw the demand of pakistan and the congress even offered jinnah the seat of prime minister of united india and some more things for muslims jinnah rejected their offer cuz it was too late but lemme say one thing gandhi was a good guy

He was suave politician and knew nerve of Indian psyche. @@DWDocumentary He wasn't mahatma he was asshole

He was the only Indian who was sincere to Pakistan even after partition, he cared for both the Indians and the Pakistanis after partition.
A man who always fought for true justice!
Nation will always remember it's beloved son, the father of the nation Gandhi who became one of the iconic character in human history for his dedication for non violence.
Son or father?
His non-violence ideas were too much violence.
How many Indian soldiers were sent to fight for the British in their world wars? What happened to this "dedication for non violence "? He couldn't say no to his masters?
@@chirag8712 India is definitely greater than a single man, so he should be a son & not a father. The father of the nation is a manipulation though we respect that.
@@nabyendu16 It's not the idea but the people who made mistakes & proved them wrong.

Mahatma Gandhi 🙏 Bapu, I love how your life journey was to seek the Truth and God, and to reach "Moksha". Your spiritual value, kindness, non-violence, non-materalism, loving all living creatures, and humanity view inspired me and many more. Your dedication in your whole life to poor people.. and how to face the enemy.. A saint, and surprisingly a witty politician.
The complicated politics and religions war.. Yet you kept strong on the ground of the non-racism (towards races and religions and all) view..
You're way ahead.. Some people may not understand. But those who love you are many. May you rest in peace ❤
@@maplaneterouge won't he was a racist Martin JONIOUR Was killed for may be not for going in to tatal comfrontantions
@maplaneterouge but I am not. Gandhi had much more things in him too.
I wouldn't say he loved everyone at least in his younger years prove - In 1893, Gandhi wrote to the Natal parliament saying that a "general belief seems to prevail in the Colony that the Indians are a little better, if at all, than savages or the Natives of Africa".
@@biffbidderman8164 yea, and he was super sexist lmfao
@@tofupop2915 people think the way society is, obviously he had some bad thoughts or bad decisions but his vision, ideology overpowers it. There's a reason Einstein, Mandela were inspired from him. One man sacrifices his own life for the sake of humanity and world harmony. Sadly this world has too much problem due to people never learn their lessons. Because of greed and hatred caused by delusion, people still keep fighting each other again and again. Rest In Peace Gandhi and thanks DW for sharing this invaluable piece of history.
