Hey Kenny…”Help me” off Court and Spark is in my top 10 of all time favorite songs as it takes me back to those youthful 70’s Summer days in the San Fernando Valley. Such fun memories! Merry Xmas to you and your family Kenny. I’ve really enjoyed watching your channel over the past few months and communicating with you. 🙏😎
That was a great Joni Mitchell song for sure 👌. Thank you very much for watching my videos and I hope that you and your family have a great Christmas 🎄 😊✌️
Merry Christmas Kenny! Here's one I recommend for you. I haven't seen you mention it so you may not know about this one: Rufus Reid Presents Caelan Cardello This is a piano/bass duo recorded live in front of a small audience. I tried to link it here but RUclips does not allow direct links. You can find the LP at Acoustic Sounds. Since it's a digital recording I picked up the CD. A great performance and a great sounding recording. Highly recommended.
Kenny, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’ve found so many great records through your channel, Keith Jarrett Koln Concert being one….wow, life changing. Keep up the good work
I just bought he McCoy Tyner Supertrios album because of your review. Yours is one of the youtube channels that I'm happy I stumbled upon in 2024. Happy Holidays.
Prezado Kenny, assisto sempre teus maravilhosos e consistentes vídeos, apresentando pra gente verdadeiras joias sonoras. Desejo a você e sua família um ótimo Natal e um 2025 com muita Saúde, muita Paz e Harmonia. Ah, e claro, e muitas outras joias pra nós. Um abraço.
Thank you very much for your kind comments, I sincerely appreciate that 😊. Thank you very much for watching my videos and I hope that you have a blessed Christmas and Holiday season 😊✌️
Merry Christmas Kenny! I picked up the 50th anniversary Kind of Blue CD with the Disc Two Birth of Blue material. My LP just arrived from AP. Will be nice comparison. Thanks for the tip!
That McCoy Tyner Super Trios is probably my favorite by McCoy. I've had it on CD for years. If you're really into McCoy Tyner there is a young player Benito Gonzales who's CD dedicated to McCoy's style "Passion Reverence Transcendence" is a monster album. Merry Xmas to you and your family Kenny.
Talking McCoy Tyner I don't know if you've heard the new Blue Note release of McCoy Tyner & Joe Henderson "Forces Of Nature Live at Slugs" which was a previously unreleased recording from 1966.Not an audiophile recording but boy does it capture all the energy and musicianship of a superb performance. Merry Christmas to you and your family Ken.
I have two copies of McCoy Tyner's "Supertrios" double-LP set because I've treasured it since it was released in 1977. I bought it again when it was released on CD in 1989, and then when I found another LP copy about ten years ago (probably for about $5-$10), I had to buy it again. I couldn't just let it sit there, lonely and unloved, in some bin. At some point my second copy will become a gift to someone of my choosing when the moment is right...
I was gratified at the positive endorsement of a tall speaker. it was kind of like a little holiday gift, because I always greatly enjoy when others share my opinions. one just can't beat physics , and that goes double for what some say is the voice of the system. I am once again impressed by the taste and scope of this man's collection. I make do with a well cared for court and spark from back when it was new. I long ago decided to limit the amount of records I consume, but the desire is still strong. I recently fell off the wagon and bought "Muddy waters , the Montrose years because of a long ago solo concert with just him playing a stand up bass and singing. turns out the desire was so strong, I inadvertently bought it twice. merry Christmas and a wish for all the joys of the season to all.
In what I believe was a 'Freudian slip' you wished me a "Hoppy Holiday". Actually, I'm planning on doing just that, wish you one as well, and am looking forward to the new year and your continued excellent reviews and videos.
When you can add this to your list for 2025, Branford Marsalis & The X-Men - Live In Cleveland (1990) it's a totally different style for Branford. I want to wish you and your family a Happy Holiday Season.
Merry Christmas Kenny! Hopefully tomorrow I’ll receive my shipment from Acoustic Sounds which includes the Bill Evans “Explorations” and Jimmy Smith “Root Down”
If people like you and others didn't review these albums, a lot of people, especially in their youth wouldn't know these albums existed or who the artists were themselves. I don't know if you saw it?, but Rick Beato just recently showed where a person named Mr. Beast who has one of the biggest channels on the internet didn't know who Prince was. Hahaha. This is where we're at. Keep up the good work and have a Merry Christmas and happy New year. 👍
Love your show, (?) Do you have the self titled fusion album called (Physical Therapy) also, the second album (Physical Therapy- Casino) these are two records once the needle hits them, you’re hooked all the way through. Real talk! listen and C🎼SIC RECORDS
Enjoy this Sonic Journey, From Physical Therapy. With Total Love For Jazz Fusion in Mind. I’m telling you Kenny, This Music on both records will definitely take you there. Please keep doing what you’re doing. Keeping Fusion Music Alive. It’s an incredible expression of the Soul.🥂
