Was talking to a guy over the weekend who works part time as a mechanic even though he’s not-but 20 years of fixing his own stuff was enough for the shop who hired him, said they couldn’t get actual mechanics anymore. World keeps getting crazier bossman.
It’s one of the toughest things about this anymore, finding good people for anything is so hard now and good mechanics are as rare as hens teeth now!!!
As far as the construction zones go… That’s been a problem for a few years. Guys won’t even drive in the designated lane for trucks… Which is many times the left lane. I’ve had drivers flip me off and try to run me into the jersey barrier for running the left lane, what it says trucks use left lane only! Nobody getting tickets in the right lane neither. Just no decency anymore man.
I'm glad I can fix my own AC. I replaced the expansion valve for the sleeper that was leaking. Then found a leak on the steel lines feeding the sleeper - brazed in a section of copper line. Then the final leak was the line from the condenser coil to the filter drier. I cut the two ends off the line and had a auto air shop make me a hose using the original ends. I'm like you, not gonna roll without my AC!!!
For the record, maintenance is twenty cents per mile. Also, check with your inside source. I heard they are going to start requiring a 5K down payment to get into the lease program.
Ummm are you sure about that? I’m 99.9% sure it’s $.19 a mile???? But what are we arguing about one penny? I will check, but I doubt they’re gonna be wanting $5K down to get into the lease purchase program anytime ever but ….. I would support that, however, again, I doubt it, most guys that come in to the lease purchase program don’t have two $5 bills in their pocket🤷♂️ and then they blame everybody and everything but themselves when they fail… Owning your own ride and running your own business isn’t easy, if it was, everybody would do it 😉
@@sturgelltruckingllc4074 I think that's the reason why. It's kind of been a revolving door because most don't understand how to run a business. From my class of thirteen, there's only four left, and two of theme were struggling because they are " chasing the bag(money)".
@@sturgelltruckingllc4074 Matt, just got my lease contract in my email this afternoon. It is 20c/mi now. Balloon is 31k. I won’t divulge my overall plan on here, but there’s the most current information. Wrapped up orientation today and get my truck in the morning. Keep an eye out for a referral from me. Been watching you well over a year now. 😎 -HB
Yeah there’s nothing out there brother we would be looking at a blank screen sorry🤷♂️… but I’ll do California next week just for fun… But keep in mind you cannot lease your truck onto Crst or get in the lease purchase program if you live in California because of your states wonderful AB5 law
I'm 22 and agree 100% about the construction zones. Speed safely that is deffinatly just asking for trouble speeding in the construction
