@@Paganbreeze Croatia had 10x times the talent Danmark did on that tournament. Honestly, the only advantage that any team except for France had over Croatia over the past 15 years was the fact that Croatia always had terrible coaches and terrible mood swings. If our players were in a mood, Danmark, Spain and occasionally even France were obliterated. Otherwise, we were capable of having a 7 goals advantage and squander it in 10 minutes, like couple of years ago against Slovenia. Even in this finals we had a 0-4 lead, and then everything fell apart. Croatia is a land mine for everyone, but too often our team commits an explosive suicide, like in this finals. As for our coaches, unfortunatelly, Croatia is a deeply corrupted country and every national team coach from Červar onwards was installed because he was a member of the notorious Conservative party, HDZ. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't change the fact that Danmark won this fair and square, of course. But I don't think any other handball superpower - except maybe for Russia, a former powerhouse that regressed into an observer - has ever faced this type of problems. :) Cheers!
