Second biggest problem was american influence has destroyed social structure in that country, they were taught to have lesser number of kids. The abortions might have rose because of rapes and interracial relationships, japanese society would not accept these kids as they are very conservative in terms of traditions. But the boggest reason would have been western influence and teachings destroyed the social structure of japan. Unfortunately same thing is happening in India, and other countries.
