Liberator was one of the most popular publications of SOD but us true fans love the less known songs the most classic is Mickey that's what we have the need to hear at SOD concerts x forever SPEAR OF DESTINY X
Seen them in Dublin in 2013. The transition from TOH to Spear of Destiny was unbelievable. His music went down hill after SODS law, his choice of sax and keyboards made their guitaring sounds so epic. World Service and One Eyed Jacks was his best work, Outlands just had a great sound due to Sony contract and studio.
Everytime I hear this, think of myself on my lambretta, going to a scooter rally, best weekends ever, now I'm a grandad, but this song always takes me back, wonderful memories
With the Wheel and Rainmaker. Superb now as it was then. Saw them support Sham a few years ago and back in 80s. What happened to the country? where have all the boot boys gone?
Always remember the ' mosh' dancing...well before my son did it (over the last 12 years) at the Download festival! Was it Pips with the caverns with different genres of music near the cathedral? If so, remember this song from there too...
First gig I ever went to was Spear Of Destiny Leeds university 1988. I was 15 years old. I had the T shirt for years but lost it somewhere. I have seen that many bands since I forget a lot of them. It would be interesting to know who the first band was that everybody here saw. Surely this is better than typing the usual "Who is listening in 2021?" bollocks that you see on every RUclips video these days.
@@wendybarrett6309 love Buzzcocks! I still listen to them all the time. I was listening to them today as I did the washing up. One of the best bands ever.
currently on a small USA tour.. just saw them last night in Austin (and yes, closed the set with this!). . absolutely fantastic. Sounded amazing, and still looking great.
I saw S.O.D at Birmingham Powerhouse and I swear when Kirk Brandon first stepped onto the stage he was bathed in light from the spot lights, his hair was blindingly white, he looked like a god
Seems we are all having a major fit of nostalgia during this pigging pandemic. I have been watching/listening to all the SOD & TOH I can get hold of. Damn they were good.
