Mac was the first official cause jay was the biggest in rap period and had the crown and u couldnt run with jay if u werent seriously lyrical. The pressure of having jayz on ya team.. 2:20 "He's alright but he's not real."-Jay-Z. That line is still historic in my book. Tracks like this is what he could have brought to that Magna Carta album. Jay is most definitely a legend. Him, 50, Wu, Lox, Dmx, Meth, Red, LL, Nas, Biggie, Kim, Foxy, Doug G. Fresh, Rakim, Krs, Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature and others took East Coast rap to the top and beyond.

haveagreatday17 True. 2Pac was born in East Harlem, but he repped and rapped more about the West Coast life. Hipe Hop is missing true artists that can ride a beat and make lyrics that will live in infamy. Will Smith is more hard and entertaining than most of the new breed of rappers.

Gamer Nation Lol. no, what I said isn't the problem so to speak. The problem is when dumb azz people like you never see themselves as the problem to why something didn't make sense or as to use your words, sounded dumb. So let me educate you.. What I said is in the form of slang, hip hop lingo if you will Translation, for what use to be true and it was about the art. True poetry in it's rawest form, that was felt down to the depths of your soul. What I said is said all the time by all of us who grew up in that era as well as all the artists from that era etc. Clearly you're new to the hip hop world/out of your element and I'll just leave it at that. Lol, so take your corny, inept azz somewhere else.

Mr. Carter, Biggs & Dame Dash had a plan when they started Roc-A-Fella label. Jay Z the only one who stuck to the plan, Biggs got in trouble doing other sh!t and Dame caught the famous fever and couldn't shake it, disrespecting label execs and numerous other boss shenanigans which got him frozen out of the music industry nobody wanted to work with his toxic behavior SMDH. Jay Z was smart to cut Dame loose when he did. Imo when Dame went behind Jay back and hired Killer Cam to be President at Roc-A-Fella records, that was the "straw that broke the camel's back" as the saying goes 😐. During Roc-A-Fella time they reigned Supreme on the mainstream & rap charts 💯% Facts.
