This is a great idea. I made 2 Fall ones. I used pasta sauce jars that had a nice straight shape. Used Modpodge, glitter and hairspray. Worked very well. Tied acorns and fall leaves to the jute bow. I had these fake candles where the flame was supposed to move and look realistic but they do not look very good. So I put those in the jars. Looks beautiful. Thank you for this terrific idea.
This is such a wonderful craft !! I LOVE IT ! I have a big hurricane vase (about 12" tall and 10" wide) I bought at the dollar tree 12 years ago lol.... I think it would look amazing as a centerpiece decorated like you've done to these, Love your idea's and as always thank you for sharing
Just a suggestion, but l find that it’s easier to spread Mod Podge with a foam brush. They are very inexpensive & you can wash out & reuse or if they get grungy just chunk them. I think l got 20 for a dollar at Michael’s one year. Any size works - just match them to the size of the project. There are no streaks because it goes on so smoothly. 🤗❤️👍🌨🎄

Oh, Wow, Jody, this is such a cute craft idea for me to do with my 5 year old Granddaughter for a Christmas Centerpiece. I made 15 of these candles holders for craft show. My crafting partner in crime brought 5 to work and sold them. The other 10 went to the craft show along with 15 of the other candle holders you did and we sold out of them within an hour. Well I guess we have a couple of winners folks. Thank you. Now I have orders for 4 more. Luckily I found them at the dollar store. Didn’t feel like ordering online since I wouldn’t get them in time. Hopefully we have one more craft show and then start making them for next year too. So easy peasy. Just not enough time. 🤪 Have a wonderful holiday

Hair spray! Who knew!?! Haven't used glitter in forever because I HATE the mess it makes--gets on everything and is impossible to get off! Thanks for the info, can finally start using it again. Super cute idea, ❤ definitely going to give it a try.
Jody, I like these jar projects. I've never seen the kind with the tealight holders connected to the lids. Wish I could find those. I have a couple suggestions for you. 1- Have you tried using EPSOM Salt on the outside instead of glitter? You make it heavy at the top and less and less as you go downward ending with clear at the bottom. 2- When finished, I use Krylon Acrylic Matte Finish spray to finish my projects off. It seals the project better than hair spray. it keeps dust and grime off through the years. You can also use a high Gloss matte to give it more shine. Krylon also has a frosted glass finish that works so well for these kinds of projects. [Frost it first, then only glitter around the upper half, Mod Podge it making it look like it's running down, then glitter over it]. Krylon Sea Glass spays make gorgeous finishes. Get Jars [Anything Glass] from Goodwill/ second hand stores,, spray them with Sea Glass,, they are gorgeous. Looks like heirlooms and depression ware. 3- Clear glass ornaments - Spray them with frosted glass finish or the Sea glass spray. GORGEOUS!
@@JodysCraftRoom - - YW. I love watching the crafting and painting videos. They are so helpful I only learned today you can use baby oil for cleaning paint brushes. I had been cleaning them with IVORY soap for a couple decades. I learn every single day. Have you seen the christmas cards that are cut in circles, curl a bit and put down inside Clear Ornament balls.. then you use the same snow glitter and pine pieces as you did in this video. Drop them down inside the ball. So easy. that could be another project for you...as if you don't have enough **wink**. Thanks for uploading.
