A beautiful performance and a chance to see Emma up close doing what she does best. I'm struck by her professionalism. She is a working artist now and practices her craft with an easy confidence and competence that comes with experience and maturity. At 16, this is extraordinary. Thanks for sharing this beautiful performance.
Thanks very much for featuring Emma. She has an absolute Golden voice. I watched everything I’ve done all her consult around the world. She’s absolutely believable. Thanks again.
We were there as well, from Ireland, and it was more than worth the trip, the quality of the music that was presented was stunning, and so varied, you've beaten me to the upload, I've just uploaded most of the 4 songs that Emma sang, albeit I made a slight mistake with starting the recording of Voila, it was good to see a number of the people from Andre Rieu's orchestra involved with this event, they clearly are very much a part of this organisation, and make a very good contribution, it was an amazing evening in so many ways, the quality and the length of the concert, and for such an incredible price, it was a superb event, and so good to see so many people appreciating the quality of what was done. We're coming over for MECC as well, I've had the tickets for that since last December, but we're not getting them for the price we paid for last Friday, and yes, it was me talking to the Master of ceremonies during the first interval that triggered the comment about travel distance, but for us, it was so worth it, the event there was way more intimate and friendly, despite not having Dutch as a language, ( or Limburg come to that, which makes it even more complex) we were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met, at the venue, in the hotel, and in the restaurants we used, it made for a very good weekend, and one I hope to repeat again in future, depending on what sort of events are planned for the future.
Thanks for this nice video, I was there. That's me front row on the left left of the screen next to the guy in the red jacket recording it on his phone (who was my mate Steve Garry by the way). It was a wonderful concert. I was amazed when Serena Vanheuverswijn came out to play solo violin with 'Schindler's List'. Then later Roger and Romano Diederen with Miro Petkov, the trio were brilliant in my opinion. But for me Emma was the star of the show. I traveled 7 hours from the UK on Friday (and then 7 hours travelling back home again on Saturday) just to see Emma sing in a small venue having seen her with Andre Rieu in Birmingham in May. It was well worth the trip, Emma blows me away every time. It was also nice that Emma was wearing the wonderful gold and diamond 'stars' jewelry that Andre Rieu gave to her in the summer ahead of the Vrijthof concerts. How on earth did they manage to put on such a great show with such elite musicians for €20 a ticket?? Wonderful. I wonder, do you have a recording from last Friday of Emma singing 'Dancing On The Stars'? If you do, watch the reaction of Roger Diederen (he's playing the flugelhorn, shown in your video here between Emma and the conductor), as Emma finishes, he rolls his head back with such a genuinely joyous smile, it was so nice to see. The only downside for me was not speaking Dutch I as unable to understand the introductions, and sorry I don't know the man's name who spoke, but he was clearly very enthusiastic and very funny given the amount of laughter in the audience. I'd love to know what he said in his introduction to Emma?
So I thought I was already a fan, but compared to you I'm only small . We also bought tickets for the Christmas concert at MECC in Maastricht , don't miss it . I also recording Voila en dancing on the stars that evening . And yes he was funny by the way and I think he was talking about you during Emma's introduction . About a person who came from the UK especially to see Emma. He hopes you want to see the rest too with a joke 😂 .
@@dolfy1962 the rest was fabulous. I loved the whole evening. Everyone was so friendly. I think music is supported better in The Netherlands and perhaps particularly in Limburg. It’s great 👍
Emma speaks Dutch, English, German and Limburg's dialect. She does not speak French but you have probably heard about that - Voila! Been following Emma for some years - long before Voila, we are all in awe and admiration of her talent and dedication to her craft. I am English and now live in St Pieter, Maastricht - in sight of Andre's 'Huis des Torens' - years ago used to live in Kerkrade! I still don't speak Dutch very well, my job required that I kept my English pure and the Dutch speak English so readily I don't get enough practice. Seeing Emma's abilities shames me!
@@AlenkaHepeEmma already sang EIN BISSCHEN FRIEDEN at the first 10 or 11 concerts on André Rieu's tour at the beginning of the year. This events were mainly in Germany.
In the Netherlands you learn English in school at the age of 8 or 9 or something(but also right after birth because movies and such aren't dubbed, they have subtitles, so English movies and series and what ever is in English) and German and French at 12 years old, at least when I was that age :P
So beautiful ! She's just born to SING !
You're right 👍

Wow, thats really life and amazing! Her voice comes almost directly and triumphs over the wind orchestra!
An evening to remember for a livetime.
A wonderful performance by a wonderful young lady!

You don't see these two songs much on youtube, so couldn't resist letting the rest of the world enjoy them. 🤷♂
