yeah i like it. i think it’s because he wasn’t in charge yet. he didn’t have the whole team riding on his shoulders like he did after gideon. also prolly why gideon actually WAS always so stressed out.
That was before a serial killer forced his family into witness protection and then killed his ex wife and mother of his child and almost killed his child.
@@residentcryptid7601 obviously, i was saying the vibe from the first EPISODE compared to later episodes in the first season. NOT from what happened later on.
They did what? Ben Savage played a young Jason Gideon in only two episodes. Nelson's Sparrow (2015) and Face Off (2020). Savage is not credited with having appeared in the Criminal Minds finale. (Thanks for the touch. I did have to look it up ☺)
“I’m an insomniac who listens to Metallica to go to sleep at night”. We watched this ep in HS, and I said SAME after this line and my teacher looked so concerned 💀 -- ALSO idk if they were talking in a general sense but Enter Sandman wasn’t on the Some kind of Monster album if anyone was curious still all these years
Depending on what happened explains that simply. Feeling exposed or reminded of a previous situation it's normal that someone takes precautions. That's common sense not a freaking delusion. The fact that they can walk past a window at all is a positive sign of overcoming. Allowing themselves to be in any public situation is a positive sign of overcoming. It takes time to retrain the mind or body. After a car accident or any accident people can be cautious or not want to be in that same environment again. For a long time I didn't like driving in wet weather. That feeling or knowledge of what being out of control is.. isn't exactly a celebratory moment. Not everyone enjoys that kind of thing. Though something like driving can be a neccesity to get around. Though it can often still remain in the back of the mind. It's not always a negative thing. It can make a person more aware of what's going on around them. I would also suggest that it's possibly to do with how they have lived their life previously. Some people were wrapped in cotton wool by parents or peers.. so to them everything is a perceivable threat. Yet a child who falls and isn't moddycoddled doesn't straight away go looking for sympathy. They tend to get up brush themselves off and move forward. People do what they know to do until they learn a new way. That's common sense isn't it? Psychologists can be like religious and want to overcomplicate things in my honest opinion.

His wife got killed and he said he didn’t understand anymore. He left to travel, looking for the belief in happy endings. Spoiler: he gets shot and killed
This show had some of the best character interactions compared to any other show I watched. Gideon was such a great character, but then Rossi and Prentiss showed up and they were the best team yet. I stopped watching after Emily left after season 7 so that was almost a decade ago. In revisiting this show right now and the later seasons just aren't that good as when Morgan, Hotch and Prentiss were still there. What happened with Thomas kinda sucked but he could've just gotten a suspension, not outright fired... and the way they wrote him off the show was laughable.
I love how Morgan and Reid interact. Almost like big brother and little brother.
you still alive???
the way gideon corrects hotch when referring to reid as agent instead of dr. AWGH
@mariixvv, I respect this about Gideon, understand & respect why he did too.
*OHMYGOD THEY WERE B A B I E S*
I knooow, especially Matthew and Thomas😍😍😍
Reid knows heavy metal. Let's just let that fact sink in.
He also just read the back of the CD case
It was pretty obvious, an insomniac would like sandman
Gurgle Reid knows everything
Yea it's crazy
I'd imagine that Reid knows quite a lot about music. He knows enough to make fun of Prentiss about her Siouxie and the Banshees look.
Awww look how cute widdle bitty Reid was what a sweetie
Big and little bro from the start...
Adorable from the start...
I love the way they looked at each other at the same time
I feel like the vibe was a little different, hotch was more relaxed and less serious idk
I think in the first season - particularly the first episode - of any series, the writers and actors are still figuring out their characters.

First season and especially first episode of that season are always very different from later seasons.

Seeing Gideon from this episode makes me understand why they cast Ben Savage as a younger version of him on the series finale.

I love that you uploaded this!! Never before have I seen a stoyline uploaded JUST for shipping-opportunities :D Thank you!!!
Morgan in a tie... Yeesh!
Password is Sandman. How did he guess it? Simple.
1)It's a metallica song
2)"PUN" Explaination: as in ENTER PASSWORD(SANDMAN)
The song is about sleep and is a parody of a lullaby but sure.
Lars, on Howard Stern's podcast, said it was about crib death, but yes
Or else he could've had put down enter sandman it's a classic heavy metal song by Metallica
Morgan says what song on this cd would speak to me. ..... Enter sandman isn't on that cd....
No, he just says “what song could possibly speak to me” no mention of that specific CD.
Enter Sandman is one of my favorites from Metallica
Oh my godness. Reid was a baby in here🍓💚
Great show. Great cast 👏
