    Hahaha Awesome!!!. Your videos are so Rad!!. Nice work dude. Definitely the best way off Mont Blanc certainly beats the walk back down haha. Just been binge watching you channel and some cool content. Looking to hopefully get back out to Chamonix this year but hopefully stay there if can work around all the visa brexit stuff and find somewhere cheap enough to stay. Really need to learn how to ski to open up some cool mountain missions. Will definitely be in touch when I get out there to get shown around a bit more as you get up to some Rad missions. Keep it up!. Cheers mike.

    My friend Will Roberts - director of Freedom Snowsports in Saint Gervais - loves that kind of thing. Going to have to send him the link for this.

    Hey, awesome stuff. Did you gave to not take anything you normally would such as a reserve etc. And what are the considerations for lending in crampons? Thanks!!

    • @DaveSearle
      @DaveSearle  3 года назад +2

      Yeah choose to not take a reserve for weight saving. Cuts the margin down a bit for sure… I normally try and take off the crampons before landing, just got to do it some where if you drop them they’ll land somewhere random, ie not in a built up place!

    Hey Dave! Love the videos and learning a lot. What ice axe(s) would you recommend for the aiguille verte? Looking to try and buy the right gear after mont blanc and Matterhorn with rentals 😅 Thanks so much !!

    Nice, incredible fitness. Must be the mountain air keeping you going.
    Few questions:
    Have you tried other (single skin) gliders? and did you learn paragliding the traditional way or did you take a single skin/hike and fly course? And how do you judge (flying) risks in the alpine environment? A matter of a lot of practice and skills or do you go by others advice? I started doing some hike/climb and fly adventures for a year now but I seem to struggle with quantifying the amount of risk taken.

      Hey, this is the only paraglider I have used. I learnt with it and I've done all my flying with it. I feel comfortable with that and how it performs. It's a good blend between performance and lightweight so I've heard..

    Hove the vid! Do you fly with a reserve parachute?

    • @DaveSearle
      @DaveSearle  5 лет назад +1

      Sturla Sætre Liavåg I do most of the time but I didn’t on this mission and most lightweight missions as I’m trying to just get down fast

    Good effort. How do find flying the Sir Ed ?

      Hi Simon, It's very easy actually! launches very quickly and is very stable in the air. Would recommend.

    What kind of paraglider and harness are those? I haven't seen ones that small or light before.

    • @DaveSearle
      @DaveSearle  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Arnold. Its the Skyman Sir Edmond 17m2 and the Skyman string harness. There are even lighter gliders and harnesses out there too!

      Hi Dave, can you tell me what your take-off weight is? I'm about to get myself a Sir Edmund and I'm struggling about getting the correct size for alpine use... Thanks! And keep up posting that good stuff! :)

    @dave, whats the name of the black pants you are wearing here? Looking into some new mountaineering pants and somehow these seem like the kind I'm looking for.
