Something that always bothered me about Perfect Dark was the lack of consistence in her design. You would look at official drawings, in-game model, CGI renders and live performances, and Johanna would like so different every time.
Edit: I initially wrote 'lack of confidence' instead of 'lack of consistence' LOL

In what way was the game Perfect Dark ever majorly and overwhelmingly associated with the color combination of red/black? So much so that you'd call the game that, and try to map over the blue logo with red?
Objectively the game's hero colors are blue and silver. It's always been blue and silver. It's all over the signature uniforms, all of the logos, all of the key graphics. The Falcon 2 is blue/silver. The Datadyne colors are blue/silver. The CI colors are blue/silver. Blue is everywhere in this game. If you randomly asked me "hey what color do you associate with Perfect Dark?" It's clearly, immediately, easily, obviously, only one possible answer: Blue.
The only thing that's Red and Black is the goddamn death animation screen; so what, did they just assume since you see that so much may as well call it that?

Really think Japan's Joanna looks a lot nicer, even better than the remake too.. always thought she looked weird in the original.

I would've cared how she looked like but it's an FPS game, you're mainly looking at a gun 90% of the time.

You do such great work. I do wish i could support you more. Sadly I cannot in good conscious use patreon, given how they themselves censor creators they do not like.

Np and thanks. Perhaps RUclips membership would work? It's basically the same as Patreon. Then there's using our links from sponsors and stuff. But just generally supporting the channel with likes and by watching is great too :)

Basically Japanese and Western markets are opposites of each other. Japan has R-18 romantic action stuff, while Western has gore

Japanese Crash Bandicoot looks cooler imo. Much more fun and whimsical looking. Joanna Dark's changes to her face are kind of a wash to me. She looks like a young Tilda Swinton.

To me the japan version is better simply because the framerate is smoother,it was the first thing i noticed however i also noticed then enemies drop down dead as soon as you look at them, too easy.
Also i noticed the look sensitivity is higher and more precise regardless of framerate.
Final note ... rare messed most of their n64 games up in terms of framerate with many un needed lighting effects and its as if they went mental with dynamic lighting in perfect dark but another game that suffers badly is diddy kong racing because of the world lighting from the sun
So of there are any clever modders out there .... mod out the lighting in both games please,od love to play thoae games with a better framerate

I prefer whatever the creators of the game originally intended. Funny how the comments look like a double standard when it comes to an western game getting altered for a Japanese audience as opposed to the other way around.

Honestly I personally prefer the japanese character design. I get more of a slick secret agent vibe from it, and less of a desk secretary picking her kids up from school one like the US character.

English version of Joanna is better. She looks too much like a fashion model in the Japan version, as well as most other iterations of her character (concept art, remaster, etc.)

Those soulless eyes on Japanese Crash... how could someone ever prefer this. It honestly looks exactly like Mr. Sparkle from the Simpsons.
Jo in their Version looks better though, she looked way too masculine in the original.
