Agreed on the sentiment, but Thompson probably at this point doesn't belong in the same conversation as those guys from a prospect pedigree standpoint. The hitters though in the system are incredibly deep at this point though. Walker is a legit top 10 prospect in baseball.
@@peterwilson4865 Walker, Gorman and Liberatore are the type of guys who get invitd to the Futures Game, I doubt that Thompson will be getting that honor this season.
1st base would be a good spot for him Goldy by the time he’s ready would be about 36 so why not platoon him with Goldy and let him pick his brain for awhile
Cardinals have a really good future with Jordan Walker, Nolan Gorman, Matthew Liberatore, Zack Thompson and a lot of others.

@@joemckim1183 yeah I was saying he's lost some of the prospect lustre after the objectively terrible season he had at AAA last year.
@@peterwilson4865 Not to the same extent but basically how Delvin Perez went from a top prospect at SS to just another guy in the system.
@@peterwilson4865 see him being a really good reliever. The conversion can also lead to eliteness. Andrew Miller comes to mind.
He looks good and seems like he has a good attitude
Bright future with this kid. High potential to be special
Holy Mother of G-d, I cannot wait for this kid to make "the Show!" Only Q: Where in G-d's name will he play?
