This scene was so good Voight and Gus are cut from the same cloth old timer cops who got the job done. But especially in this day and age cops need to be smarter about how they go about their business Voight realizes this that’s why he sometimes goes about it in a more subtle way Gus didn’t and he lost everything. Out of respect for his old friend glad Voight at least gave him the chance I think when he left he gave Gus a chance to run.
curly6509 Voight knew if he left Gus alone he’d either take off or take himself out. He went with the latter. He wasn’t going to be taken alive and go to jail given cops are walking targets to inmates. So either Gus ran off into hiding and spent the rest of his life looking over his shoulder or he dies.

Although now that he's dead, I have to wonder how Voight will prove he did it? It sounded like he inferred the murder weapon couldn't be found.
Troll Kingg he’s undercover and apparently a cop pulls him over and roughs him up he can’t blow his cover so he has to take the racism. And that will conflict with his beliefs as a cop and as a ‘brotha’
