      If you ever visit Losmandy in Burbank, you will very likely encounter that exact senerio. I did.
      But when I arrived, Scott was assembling a side-by-side for a long time customer.
      This is the personal service Scott Losmandy builds into everything he sells.
      Name any other who's CEO is this dedicated to his business and customer satisfaction.
      I held the box while Scott placed my HD tripod in it. It was too heavy for little Ms Tanya to do.

    Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to the next one. Hopefully on the next step. Polar Align Assit and Modelling. Especially since I have a limited area of sky to view from in my backyard.

    Brian, thank you so much fro the video. It is very useful. I often forget to change the time zone to plus or minus an hour when the daylight saving time comes.
    By the way, nice to see Scott is in the background adjusting the worm gear :P.

    Following your procedure: Initial problem: No "Cold Start" menu. Goes right past "Press the screen to recalibrate" to "Menu" and starts beeping! On re-power up, pressing "Recalibrate" brings up a tiny box that dances around the screen as you finger it...

    • @LOSMANDY
      @LOSMANDY  2 года назад

      hi @goldenphoenixpublish you can set the startup mode to "Ask if possible" once you are at the Hand Controller's home screen MENU->MOUNT->Startup. The recalibrate screen is for recalibrating the touchscreen, so if you press the screen while that's active, you need to go through the screen calibration procedure.

      @@LOSMANDY All works now -- figured out the "1 second" screen was to calibrate the hand held pad. (Weird most screens just orient x=1 y=1 pixels upper left corner). After that all went smoothly -- especially after installing the controller battery! Thanks for getting back. You guys need to do a "Theory of Operation" vid where you explain things abstractly. Nice job on the detail vids however.

    Is the Civil Time on the setup taken directly from the web site from the link? So it is not the actual time for your specific time zone? It is the actual UTC time?

    • @jimpotts615
      @jimpotts615 3 года назад

      I have the same question. Brian seems to put in UTC, but reading something else it sounds like I should put in Local time?

    • @brianvalente
      @brianvalente 3 года назад

      Yeah sorry everyone - this part is incorrect. You need to put in local time, and I now realize that site is UTC time. You can type in your local time, or you can use the timezone offset and calculate it from the UTC time from this website, we will need to update this
