The name "Holocene" is actually a label or term for the current geological epoch we're presently living in and have existed in for the past 10,000 years, the Age of Man.
I imagine someone in a plane seeing the area they grew up in , realizing how far removed they are from that person. How the past was obliterated by just a move or two and only left in a memory. He realizes how quickly any of us can be gone and left as a vague memory over time. He sees true magnificence in the landscape and how after centuries its prominent and still beautiful and realizes the true magnificence in life is awareness of what's around us moment by moment

To me I feel like this song is about a relationship ending and it was not mutual. The person writing the lyrics are using metaphors to describe how since they left it has destroyed their heart and they can't get over it. " Now your in Milwaukee off your feet".. So they have isolated themselves away. "Hauled away far from the highway aisle" ..they are tortured by the memories they once had. And realizing they were not that other person's everything, "And once I knew, I was not magnificent"..

I noticed I didn’t get a specific choice option I wanted because of the choices given in the phone version was different than the computer version. There were a few other things I didn’t really like but it was a fun game to pass the time. 😊🦋
