Okay so with Higurashi, it's a really good horror series that gets really fucked up. I recommend it and if you reacted to it, i would watch every episode like 30 times. It's perfect for a fall anime reaction!

Also to answer your question, Inuyasha is an anime series that came out in 2000, but the manga came out in the mid-90s so I learned about it before I ever saw the anime since I saw it in a fanart comic involving Sailor Moon. Inuyasha is a fantasy romance adventure story and it was very popular with the girls. Inuyasha is the main male protagonist, and he's half demon/half human. The series eventually inspired a sequel about kids of Inuyasha and his half-brother's kids and they have shown the main cast from the previous series in it. So yeah interesting anime, but it is a long anime to get through lol.

As a Gundam fan, I'm willing to say that SEED and its sequel were the beginning of a random trend for certain shows. Interesting setting and characters with cool designs, but abysmal story and character development. The moment something out of Game of Thrones happens, you can feel the stupidity of such a decision.
Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny are the Star Wars Sequels to Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta's Original Trilogy.

Just gonna bring up a show that would've probably been on the list if they'd only been born a decade earlier (because it premiered when she was born!). Gargoyles had some gorgeous, badass women in it, all of them with depth. My crush was definitely Detective Elisa Maza, but between her, Fox Xanatos, Angela, and Demona, there was really someone for everyone not hung up on Goliath's pure male sex voice

Avatar: I was a Katara guy. Close 2nd being Suki.
FMA:…I think I would have to pick Riza Hawkeye. Her or Rose. (But more Rose in 2003 when she’s not white washed) Ed can have Winry.
Naruto: Though I didn’t really watch it, I did like Sakura. Now that I know the story a lot better (but I still don’t watch because long ass show) it’s purely just eye candy perspective. Girl thirsts HARD in a really unhealthy way to the point of being problematic.
Gurenn Lagann: Yeah. Yoko. Especially when she was in her teacher phase. Won’t say more for Kyle’s sake. Short show, fun show, worth it.
Teen Titans: Definitely Starfire. I said I have a man crush on Nightwing, (which I define man crush as saying the guy looks handsome for my purposes. Nothing more.) but she completely overshadowed him.
Pokémon: Dawn and May. Thank god that crush didn’t stick past childhood. XD
Not a Harry Potter viewer, not a Bleach viewer, I avoid Sailor Moon like the plague. There were a few more I didn’t recognize in there, but I am NOT a Lola guy. Also not a DBZ girl kind of guy.
Guess I just get drawn to the teacher types personality wise. Either that or the eternal loyalty. (When it’s not problematic) Otherwise it’s eye candy.

FMA taught me how to critically analyze shows REALLY well, and I realized on rewatches how much background arcs were happening that I missed and how many details I overlooked even for main characters. Then when I went to other shows I saw things the same way. So now I’m very picky on shows because if I choose something too long, I know it’ll take WAY too long for me to stop analyzing.
My Childhood Crushes range from Dawn from Pokemon, Teenage Gwen from Ben10: Alien Force, Bulma and Android 18 also from DBZ, Gwen from Total Drama Island, Starfire and Sam from TotallySpies also looking back on that show now that I'm 20 holy fuck the writers were horn balls with some wild kinks

A FURRY is a person who feels they can express themselves more freely when donning their "Fursona" which consists of a costume that expresses their inner personality while hiding their actual identity. They wish to be allowed to be as carefree as they want without having this judgemental view about how they should act due to their perceived age, sex, race, etc... Having a crush on cartoon characters as a child is NOT the same. BTW, I found Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet to be an awesome role model for all young women. I just wish I was as eloquent as she was.

October of this year the series is coming back covering the 1000 Year Blood arc of the Manga. The main series is a bit long with some filler arc seasons, but worth watching for the fight scenes. The Manga is more straightforward narratively speaking so read it.
