I have a Madone 9 H1 and I'm not completely in love with it, I almost prefer my 2014 Madone 7. Of my gripes: 1) the handlebar shape. The top section is directly in line with the drops and so you really need to get one size narrower bars. I got my normal width bars and ended up bruising my forearms when sprinting uphill (which is my specialty so that was really annoying). It cost $500 for the different size bars. 2) The seat clamps are now 7x10 and they will NOT fit 7x9 rails like the Madone 7 did, so you are basically restricted to Trek saddles and Trek no longer makes a Toupe-style saddle. I had to get a discontinued Bontrager Paradigm RXXXL saddle from eBay since the Montrose is too round for me (like an Aliante). When that saddle wears out if I can't get another one I don't know what I'm going to do. 3) Cable routing. I imagine you did eTap because the Di2 cable routing plus the brake cable routing is just too much of a hassle. And finally 4) The rear brake. I'm a sprinter and I miss the bottom-bracket brakes on the Madone 7 since the rear wheel flexes much less in the horizontal plane vs. the vertical. With the seatstay mounted brake on the M9, I rub brakes all the time and there is no longer the convenient rear brake release on the head tube like the Madone 7. That brake release coupled with the bottom bracket brakes meant I never rubbed in a sprint on the old model. I'm running Di2 9050 & Zipp 454s.
WonderSausage thanks for the comment. I choose eTap, because it's better. Compared to other bikes, it actually has very good cable routing. I have done Di2 and full mechanical builds and it wasn't too bad. I get brake rub with most wheels as well, annoying... I really like the bar shape though.
They supply a lot of blendr mounts! It's impressive that they supply so much with the frameset. Does the handlebar/stem combo come with the frame or needs to be bought seperaately?
Hi Ronald, I have a Madone 9 too. Do you know whether 28c tires with lately newly launched wider carbon rims can be used on this bike? Fork clearance and chain stay clearance appear to be wide enough for the wider tires and rims, but are the proprietary brakes going to be as effective on the wider rims? Your expert advice is greatly appreciated. 🙏
Thanks your vids are very informative. Did the flare rear light bracket come with the mounts? Also did you get the screws for fitting the wbottle cage to the seat tube to not damage the ISO’speed decoupler?
RK the H2frame appears to be size 56 with the taller seatmast? If so what are the saddle height (c of BB to top of c of saddle) and reach (tip of saddle to c of HB)? Thanks
The chainring pin is supposed to be behind the crankarm, so if the chain falls over the big chainring, it doesn´t get caught in between the crankarm and the chainring itself, potentially damaging the crankarm. If the pin is not behind the crankarm it´s just useless.
Here is some feedback about your videos. During last couple of days I have watched a couple of videos in your channel. Mostly you provide interesting information about bikes, so I would recommand you to make videos a bit shorter and try to be more clear what you are talking about. Make intros at the beggining of every video and dramtize a bit your topic in order to make it more interesting and attractive. Take your bike outside and give it a ride, but also record it in orde to put some footage on the vides. Bikers want to see biking, not walls. In this way more people are going to watch you and subscribe to your channel. I hope this is going to be helpfull for you 😉
I really enjoy the time lapse videos. Loving the channel, keep it up with the success in CX!
Aiden Worth thanks for the support
Best bike ever !!!
I love it. Awesome vedio!
loved watching this build! more like this!
Johnny Hanel there will be more hopefully!
Now thats a nice bike
Nice one and very sweet looking bike!
Levius x3 thanks, I am quite satisfied as well.
Nice job Ronnie👍. Agree on that headtube, it don't look right from side on view
Phablet Fortyfour thanks!

Oh, and note that the Madone 9 says "Assembled in USA" where the Madone 7 said "Made in USA".

do one on bianchi ron

J S it's an option
Surprised you don't have an Emonda lying around the shop anywhere :)
Andrew McHowell I had one before the Madone
Did u do any videos on that (or any) Emonda, Ronald ? Would like to see/hear it. Considering it as well. +Ronald Kuba
al karg they are my very first ones. The Madone is a much better bike overall though
@@ronykuba why is the madone better? I thought the madone is much more heavy then the emonda
@@MsPietpaaltjes weight doesn't matter

dO thanks. Yes the frame comes with all that.

Thanks
dO it is, but it's just randomly set up.
Nice Madone Ronald, since you have both the H1 and H2, have you noticed any performance difference between the OLCV 600 and 700 series?
Mariano Ruiz I only have the H1 (why on earth would I have a H2 as well?!), but there is a comparison in a long-term review on Cuclingtips
IDK I thought this one was also yours. I will watch the video, thanks ; )
did you go from the red frame to the white one?
Irving Abbott no, it's not my bike
Doesn't wrapping the bar tops somewhat diminish the aero benefits or is this simply for comfort?
Devery Andrews it's not optimal, but it's not a racer's bike.
Where is the pinarello you had in your workshop?
probably in the owner´s garage
And how much does it cost
As I said, it's not available anymore
How much does that bike cost
it´s an old model, not available anymore
Does it have any one like that
Have what?
How much you got the frame?
Gavin Serdeña I only got one frame, to build it up for a customer
Ronald Kuba xD my bad I'm new to your channel though.. :P

Salva Ruiz for the 101st time... there are 2 pins on Sram rings, 180 degrees apart.
Ups,sorry! should have checked before asking I guess.
Yep-your’s looks much nicer Rony...
Why trek pro team don’t have a good result on uci tour. They have a no.1 bike in this world
AftershockPS3 it's not F1... Bike racing is about the riders. In WT races everyone is on a competitive bike, so it's 99.5% rider.

Ramazan Limko thanks for the valuable feedback!
DRAMATIZING titles fools people. More realistic, down-to-earth is the way benefiting the readers.
lemme borrow ya bike bruh????
ca5ualm3dia why?
i gotta go a ride man !!!
