I started with your reaction to episode 9 and noticed how quick you were able to pick up on things in that reaction so decided to binge all of yours. Regarding some comments from others, ignore them! I love your edits and predictions. I hope you react to other shows. Perhaps Game of Thrones (except the last season). Both Bella Ramsey and Pedro were immediate sensations in that.

I had a feeling though cause on the poster for the game it's just them two so, I figured adding more conflict and drama, Tess would die. Love these little 'prologues' at the beginning of the episodes, I do hope they do a few more of those, really gives the story more context. Fun little fact, if you google 'the last of us' and wait a few seconds, a red mushroom pops up and the cordyceps spreads over part of your screen lol, try it!! Looking forward to the next ep and your next reaction!
The relationship between Tess and Joel is a lot more subtle in the game, but they're 100% a couple there as well. They were already flirting while traveling to Robert, there's also the way Joel cleaned her wounds that's very intimate, and of course the scene at the capitol building… I think what the game tried to do was imply that they both kept each other a bit at a distance, which does make sense for their characters as I'm pretty sure they've known each other from Joel's banditry days, and it being generally a shit world where you don't want to be too attached to someone. They're both kinda broken on the inside. In regards to butterflies, there was also one at the waiting point with Joel and the smuggler radio on the window where Ellie was sitting at. I heard they also wanted to show some of Tess' past with her being a mom and her kid getting infected, but it was cut due to budget and time constrains. Definitely sad, I loved Anna Torv as Olivia from Fringe already as well and I loved her as Tess. I think the pacing is the one thing I'm worried about with this series right now, especially for the next episode, because between now and Bill & Frank's there's also a very iconic scene & development with & between Ellie and Joel. It seems they are already hinting at it but I just don't know how they're going to implement that. I guess they might re-write that bit into another part to cut some of the time of it but I feel they could've easily made Part 1 into two seasons or one extended season. Hopefully Part 2 will not cut corners like this. PC version in roughly a month. :)
I didn’t play the game so was NOT ready for Tess to die. I haven’t seen Anna Torv in anything mainstream since Fringe, and was really looking forward to seeing her in another series. It was shocking and upsetting to say the least. But this show has got me so far. After seeing so much crap last year, except for Stranger Things and House of the Dragon, the quality of the writing, acting and set design here is so satisfying. Which is why I can’t wait for the rest of the series. And episode 3 is apparently 80 minutes long..giggity..:)

I love the fungus coming out of the mouth stuff. It something oddly intriguing about it. If that was real people would have to hold me back to keep me from trying to steal a kiss.
I wish for season 2 they add lots of flashbacks including Tess, Anna Torv is such a great actress. Unfortunately they'll probably stick close to the game 😥
The doctors fungi with the ant is a real Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, google it. But is not harmful to humans. Also, I have not played the game so some back story is great for us to give the film some context and reference of what is happening. The flour was the substrate for the fungus to grow. According to commentators Tom, Joel, Shara did not eat anything with flour in it, the cookies, no pancakes, biscuits. But the old lady in wheelchair did. Love the series so far.
I loved the game and I love this series now. They did the clickers so damn f***ing awesome! Disturbing and terrifying af! The cinematography, the score, the atmosphere, the emotions ... just perfect! They are so good at building tension. There are so many shots I would love as a picture at my walls. I need the last scene with Ellie at my wall

The Clickers are 100% practical effects and prosthetics.

Behind the scenes the showrunners say the clickers were 100% prosthetics and no CGI with the clicker actors doing all the sounds.
