Could you please explain in some detail why government printing money (QE: Quantitative Easing) causes house prices to go up? Hasn't the price of housing been going up prior to the fiscal management by the government. Wasn't the idea of buying a house predicated on its inflationary rise and families cashing in afterwards towards retirement after the children had moved out? Your analysis seems to be missing something accurate too. House prices had risen from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s; it was during this period that a lot of foreign investors poured their moneys into the USA housing market thus creating a bubble. Also, during this period the builders created a shortage which led to much more higher prices in the market. I doubt you can lay this solely at the hands of bad gub'ment.

Somehow, in dollars, my house “worth” 4 times what I paid for it. Not because it is 4x bigger or 4x more in demand or 4x better in any measure. Because the purchasing power of the money has declined. What is different today is that money is leaking value like crazy and poor people are being tricked into thinking that a 3% raise will balance a 20% loss of purchasing power.
