    Wow. Completely missing the point. “Worker paying 60% tax vs biz paying 4%” The problem is the 60% not complaining about the 4%. Why are housing prices shooting up? Government debasing money and creating inflation.

      housing prices can drop in high inflation or go up. It's not money supply but capture, capitalism end goal is more profit, and profit comes from elimination of competition.

      Could you please explain in some detail why government printing money (QE: Quantitative Easing) causes house prices to go up? Hasn't the price of housing been going up prior to the fiscal management by the government. Wasn't the idea of buying a house predicated on its inflationary rise and families cashing in afterwards towards retirement after the children had moved out? Your analysis seems to be missing something accurate too. House prices had risen from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s; it was during this period that a lot of foreign investors poured their moneys into the USA housing market thus creating a bubble. Also, during this period the builders created a shortage which led to much more higher prices in the market. I doubt you can lay this solely at the hands of bad gub'ment.

      @@rcmrcm3370 yes, prices do move around due to local conditions. When I was a kid, a quarter would buy a gallon of gasoline; today that same silver quarter will still buy a gallon of gasoline. Why does the price at the pump say $4.00? Eight times as much measured in dollars and yet the same if measured in silver. The same is true for houses. Somehow, in dollars, my house “worth” 4 times what I paid for it. Not because it is 4x bigger or 4x more in demand or 4x better in any measure. Because the purchasing power of the money has declined. There have always been local shifts in housing prices in cities. What is different today is that money is leaking value like crazy and poor people are being tricked into thinking that a 3% raise will balance a 20% loss of purchasing power. And “suddenly” the poor can’t afford housing. If you keep voting in crony capitalism; politicians that create new money to feed to anti-capitalist bankers and elite 1%ers, the problem will get worse. True capitalism is many buyers and many sellers without government picking winners. Stop blaming capitalism when that is not what you have elected into existence.

      @@leokscott a gold or silver standard will simply transfer more wealth even faster to the capitalist. If you don't understand the rule of accumulation, what are you doing?

      @leokscott 2 года назад

      @@rcmrcm3370 that is the point. Capitalism or zapitalism does not matter, understanding that whatever “rules” you set will only complicate things for the poor and make more loopholes for the takers (some animals are more equal). The the only thing that has ever help poor people is sound money. They don’t want to play fancy games, they just want raise kids in a stable world.

      it's the capitalism Adam Smith warned about, "All for ourselves, and nothing for other people, seems, in every age of the world, to have been the vile maxim of the masters of mankind.” an educated (not indoctrinated) public is necessary for capitalism (and democracy) to function. uneducated people are unable to make decisions that better their lives and the community, except by chance. #seekTruth #becomeMedia #messiahNature

    Recessions are natural, its redeems the value of equilibrium. Kicking the can down the road in a bid to prevent recessions to cleanse the system has resulted in the continuous boom in property prices. But the coming recession will correct this imbalance

    Housing is not a human right.The only rights you have are your god given rights.
    To claim that housing is a human right, is to claim right over someone else's life.
