I've worked in kitchens and everyone who was cooking was referred to as "Chef" in some kitchens but in others it was the most senior, as in the Head chef, that was referred to as "Chef". Personally I always referred to whoever was in charge of the kitchen as "Chef". I was asked why I didn't call everyone else chef & I told them it was because they were still learning.
Having ALSO worked in kitchens, you have the Head Chef, the BOSS of the kitchen, and then, depending on the size of the kitchen, a couple of Sous Chefs, and then of course there's the Chef de Partie, the Saucier . . . and a variety of other Chefs with varying areas of specializations, such as a Pastry chef and so on. And then of course you have the Fast food joints with NO CHEFS AT ALL . . . ROFL
I wish RUclips had a policy of requiring videos to be CLEARLY labeled if they are A.I. generated or are fictional or have had facts altered.
