It’s actually rare to see the happy faces of an orchestra enjoying itself, instead of just doing a job.

    テンポの変わり目で新しいテンポを作る各奏者の身体の動きが素晴らしい。

This is so much fun to watch. I’ve not seen a piece conducted by a violinist before. There’s a lot of eye contact going on. Sections watching their principals for cues. Principals looking to other principals insuring that they are all together. These are things that rock and country bands do routinely, but may be just a little out of classical players comfort zones because they are accustomed to looking at the conductor. No matter, it all worked beautifully and was a great, animated, and inspiring performance. Loved it!

This kind of playing requires absolute devotion to your craft and magnificent ears and eyes. Wonderful performance, as always!!! Solo violist is the gorgeous and super talented Lea Hennino. :-)

"ACH DU LIEBER, MEIN SCHATZ"!!! I've seen many many wonderful performances of the world's most wonderful music, but this particular music & performance was MAYBE the best I've ever seen!!! It's a great great sight to see so many "animated smiling faces" of musicians totally "engrossed" & in love & "having FUN with their music"!!! It's obvious they were greatly enjoying their performance!!! What a thrill to see this for my 82 year old eyes & ears! Most musicians were fairly young, which could account for the "preciseness" of their playing! "Sway & play" was the "order of the day"!!! The ultimate highlight though was the fantastic genius of Claude Debussy!!! And to think he had such an odd shaped head!!! "Gesundheit"!!!!!

A very refreshing group of young people enjoying life ; my favourite piece of Debussy for the orchestra ! Makes me so happy ! And, for the piano : L'isle Joyeuse, pure genius, do you agree ? Played it a thousand times in my life !

You also need a GREAT hall to play this way. One where you can really hear each other. What fun to watch.

Absolutely fantastic, no words. Indeed this sounds better than usually under button of conductor. Not easy to imagine how musicians play so difficult ornaments in ensemble. This challenge is discovering entire potential, all best of each musician. No any pressure and restriction so expression of music is incomparable! Also video is great in cameramen work and edition. Thank everyone on the stage! Best wishes if you go on this project!

They’re self-conducting with the passion, and excellence in navigating through complex temporal and expressive passages with the intimacy of a string quartet.

This is my favourite piece of Debussy. And that first violinist is a talented cutie pie.
You can really see the lyrical flow of the music as instruments sway in an out of play like a rolling tide.
