Good to hear I had mine serviced recently. The mechanic said if the computer section goes in time they may not be able to fix. I would love a new machine but would like to keep on using my trusty 1230. Happy Sewing!
That takes a tool that is in your box. it has a screw driver for removing the needle on one end and the other end is hollow which fits into the light bulb. Push the hollow end straight up into the light bulb gently push up and turn clockwise and the bulb will release. If the plastic part of the tool is old it may not want to expand. If you can warm it in your hand for a few minutes it may help. I don't have the machine anymore so I can't do a RUclips video for you but hope this is helpful.

Just be sure not to plug it in the same outlet as you iron that goes on and off. My friend blew hers that way.
