Call to me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you and you will Glorify me. There is no other God save our Lord and who is a rock save our God. There is no other.
“if you tarry til you’re better you will never come at all.” Such a great line of this song. Thank you so much for sharing this and sharing your gift with us! Praise God!
1 Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, full of pity, love, and power. 2 Come, ye thirsty, come and welcome, God's free bounty glorify; true belief and true repentance, ev'ry grace that brings you nigh. 3 Let not conscience make you linger, nor of fitness fondly dream; all the fitness he requireth is to feel your need of him. 4 Come, ye weary, heavy laden, lost and ruined by the fall; if you tarry till you're better, you will never come at all. 5 I will rise and go to Jesus! He will save me from my sin. By the riches of his merit, there is joy and life in him. Source: Trinity Psalter Hymnal #439
Maybe the word "charms" didn't have the occult implications in 1759 that it does today. We changed that last line to, "There is shelter from all harm." (Pardon us Mr. Hart) Someone else changed it to, "There is life forevermore." I like verse #5 in the comment above.

Hands down my new favorite song!
Wow… wow. Left speechless
Thank you!
1 Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
full of pity, love, and power.
2 Come, ye thirsty, come and welcome,
God's free bounty glorify;
true belief and true repentance,
ev'ry grace that brings you nigh.
3 Let not conscience make you linger,
nor of fitness fondly dream;
all the fitness he requireth
is to feel your need of him.
4 Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
lost and ruined by the fall;
if you tarry till you're better,
you will never come at all.
5 I will rise and go to Jesus!
He will save me from my sin.
By the riches of his merit,
there is joy and life in him.

I would think it did as that was very much in the middle of the "witch scare" years, but I could be wrong.
Nice 😊 🙏🏼
