@mala3isity - I thoughts completely. I love a good looking bottle but some of my favourite indi houses ie Papillion and Francesca Bianchi are in plainish bottles. Presentation shouldn't outweigh the juice inside
@@kathywitter6076 Sometimes I think houses should have standard bottles, like Amouage and de Marly, just changing the colors to keep costs down but then I see individual bottles that truly match the scent and I re-think my opinion. Maybe it's a matter of finding the right glassmith.
Yeah, probably not! But I'd love a more ostentatious presentation for that gorgeous scent! Bottle isn't everything but it does count toward the overall experience. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

I just got to the part where you were talking about Good Girl Blush (really like it, BTW), and if you have picked peonies that didn’t have a smell, you are growing the wrong peonies! Some varieties don’t have a smell, but others are sweet and lush! I have 4 different varieties in my garden, and all of them smell just lovely. 😁
Hey Sheryl! 🥰 Yes, I meant it's not a "big" floral smell. Mine are soft in scent, and very pleasant. But the bouquets don't fill the room with smell like some other flowers do. We have several peony bushes. 🥰🥰🥰

Deja Vu .... that was a challenging fragrance at first. The Tuberose made me nauseous, but I didn't want to declutter it. SO i've let it sit for 2 years. Cause I knew it had vanilla and NEEDED it to be sweeter. I love tuberose but the one found in this one was just jiving with me. I pulled it out this year and WOW! I pair it with Vanilla 28 and WOW WOW WOW just stunning. I've had my Vanilla 28 for 2,5 years and it's gotten so sweet and smokey and so it just changes the game. But the longevity on Deja Vu, on me, is easily 8+ hours. it's amazing!
Okay, thank you for sharing this. This is promising! I wonder if my little bottle either got stale with its 10 drops left 😂😂😂 OR my sense of smell was off that day. It happens. Love your description - thank you!

I feel like Fig, Black Tea & Sandalwood should work in Summer. I certainly don’t find Gris Charnel so heavy that you can’t use all year round. Hoping to get my full bottle soon. I love all those 3 notes.
Yayy those notes are amongs my faves too. I have worn the extrait (the one I have a FB) during hout summer nights but I prefer to wear it on cooler monts, the original for me is wearable all year round

I was pleasantly surprised with how Gris Charnel went from a "meh" to a "what magic is this?" experience. Funny how that happens with some fragrances! And the other way around happens, too.
I’m with you 100% on your top 3. Soleil de Jeddah Mango Kiss is my favorite SHL, Milk Expressive is my favorite Commodity, and Amouage Material is on my wishlist forever but will definitely get it before the season is over, in time for fall season. ❤️❤️❤️

You seem to have had another great month. I had a somewhat limited month with half packed and not unpacked fragrances, big heatwave and ''no frangrance'' workplace. But I did enjoy Lemon Island, Bubble Bath, Alien Goddess Intense, Clean-Fresh Linen, Wisteria Blue, Florabottanica to name a few. And sampled a few things at Shoppers.
And placed in an order with Fragrance Buy this afternoon for their big July sale. Can't wait to get these new additions home and try them out! 😁

Love your eyeshadow! Jealous of your lid space too, as I have hooded eyes and can't wear shadows like that. Also, I do agree that Jardins de Misfah is overhyped. To me it smells like a mixture of Roses Vanille or Intense Cafe layered with BR540, and I'm bored with those. I love Amouage Material, but I am curious, do you wear it in summer/ is it a June fave because you wore it in June? It's put away for fall/winter at my house, but I'm willing to try it in heat if you recommend.
Thank you very much! 💖 Sorry your experience with Jardins de Misfah was lackluster. I still find it nice, just overhyped, you know? Amouage Material I wore on a cooler day - 70 degrees. It's more of a cool weather fragrance, but I did not find it too strong for milder summer days. Hope this helps.

Hey V! I just purchased Alien Goddess Intense since I have the original and liked it so much I was curious about Intense lol. Since you’re an Alien fan, do you own Alien EDT also? I thought about purchasing that one too! As far as Kayali scents go, I do really enjoy Deja Vu, but I love Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper better!! It’s a sparkling sweet floral that lasts all day for me! Give it a try if you’re interested 💕💕

Ok... you've totally convinced me to revisit some of these scents that I didn't love the first time around. I bought a bottle of Gris Charnel blind last year and it was really wood dominant to me and didn't love it. Maybe I just need to try it on a rainy day and when it gets cooler to see if I feel differently. And I got a travel spray of Alien Goddess in the fall/winter and don't remember getting the coconut that everyone is raving about. I need to try it again now that it's warm. I also feel like Kayali tends to get better with age and want to try Deja Vu again. Borea sounds amazing and I loved that you gave a mention to Juliana's Perfume. I've gotten a few of their bottles without smelling the real deal but when I finally did, they were pretty spot on. btw your eye look is sooo pretty! Love it!

I love these series!! So an hour ago a received my bottle of Soleil de Jeddah Mango Kiss after finishing my sample. I am not, by any means, a fruity tropical gal BUT this mango is ripe, dense, kind of milky (not chemical as the one of God of Dire, which I perceive as a mango version of Erba Pura with that kind os musk; don't get me wronggg, I own a decant but that's enough) with that hint of coconut (I don't tend to like coconuts). Sweet but in a tropical way. I don't perceive any ashiness though! I love it, the OG was a miss for me and I will revisit my sample of SDJ Afterglow when cooler weather comes to Spain (41ºC atm). PS: SANTAL COMPLET IS HORRIBLE REGARDING LONGEVITY AND PROJECTION, this is me shouting yes... I love the smell though :(... A lot of citrus centered fragrances last more that that, like 4 hours at least, come on... Muchos besos Veronica😘😘
