    I like to rub the chicken all over with lemon first and then put the remainder of the lemon with a chunk of butter and Soy sauce. I let the butter melt and use the concoction as a baste every half hour or so... I also season the beer by shoving garlic, spices, lemon and whatnot into the can before it goes up the arse.

    i have a question about using beer for grilling: can children eat the chicken or do you get problems with the alcohol from the beer? or will the alcohol burn completly during the grilling?

    • @PauloDiBoa
      @PauloDiBoa 10 лет назад +1

      Nobody gets drunk by eating chicken made this way.
      And yes alcohol is the first thing to evaporate.
      So, yes it's safe to let children enjoy these bad boys.

    DJ BBQ, I have a hard time keeping my grill warm for 30 minutes much less an hour and 30; is it that I'm using commercial brickets like Kingsford? I have a larger grill than the one you are using here. I always use a charcoal chimney to start my fires, should I keep extra coals on standby to feed the fire?

    • @djbbq
      @djbbq  10 лет назад

      Yep, that's how ya do it. Try using lumpwood charcoal.

    Hi DJ, Radness to the power of Damn! (as usual).
    Great collaboration video with the craft beer boys, I'd love to see more beer + bbq food matching, but I have a question for you: doesn't the can in some way harm the healthiness of chicken? I mean, heated metal with coloring and so on? I'm not Judging, I'm just curious.
    You're awesome, all of you!

    I'm more of a gin man - is there anything you would recommend I rub down and stick a (duty free) bottle of Tanqueray up?
    Also - I see from your name that as well as being a master BBQ chef you are a DJ - what music goes with this dish - some Velvet Underground or Abba?
    Many thanks for your help, err, bro

    pilsner the simplest of the beers .... well ... no it tastes simple, but brewing a pilsner is the toughest beerstyle you can brew.
    everyone can do overly hoppy, or sweet or wild fermented and shit, but doing a nice pilsner ? not allot of breweries can pull that off.

      DJ BBQ Actually, it makes no difference according to the scientific research that was done on this. Cooking the chicken vertically is the key, as you'll get an even cook, much the same way you would if it were butterflied/spatchcocked.
