The X6 seems fun enough, but In my eyes, the X5 M50i is the better choice. Better looking and more usable. If you want to avoid the all-touch idrive8 setup, a well-optioned average mileage CPO 20-23 can be had for 55-65k. For a 500+ horsepower german V8 luxury hauler, that's not half bad. But unfortunately you'll miss out on digital art mode, which I'm sure is essential for some.
What would we do without digital art mode!!!
I already have one big sac I dont know if I can handle another...
I just got an X6 M60i in Isle of man green and it's absolutely AMAZING! From where I come from the X6 is more car than the X5, not that the X5 is not nice but I feel that is just a box yes you get more space like 2-5 inches in certain places but it's not that different , the X6 is rare in the US and is an acquired taste, I took both X5 and X6 M60i for a test drive and for a little bit the X6 won in driving performance, I'm 25 and I felt that the X5 is an old person car lol (sorry). Great review

Cheap for bmw. Audi sq7 is 158k starting (I drive a 2024 cayenne s hybrid pebble grey Bordeaux red interior and 2022 bmw m5 comp matte black oyster leather interior

I like the x6 more then the x5. It just looks different which i like. Looks like a spaceship.
I drove the M50i a couple years ago -- it was totally BONKERS. Full throttle runs were faster than my brain could think.
M60i is essentially identical to M50i. No idea why they rebadged these to M60i without any real HP gains.
@@HaruHaruman because of the hybrid battery added to the same engine. m50i doesn t have that
The BMW SUV Coupes are by far the most practical body style I've seen. They have plenty of space, beautiful looks, and drive like sedans while having a higher seating position and more headroom. It's literally the perfect balance of all the best traits the car market has to offer.

@@bradyb9929 Not really! The X5's are everywhere, but the X6 is rare.
having been in an X6 and X4, these do not have the interior space of the X5 or even the X3 or the driving of the bmw sedans ie (3 series and 5 series), headroom is also compared to their SUV's not really that good
@@Sheltur_0311 I own one, and I also had an X5, and the X4/X6 are very spacious. I am 6'2 and I can comfortably sit in the back. The front space is excellent too.
@@DMCarReviews What do you think "practical" means? To me, it suggests usability for day-to-day tasks... one of which would be loading and unloading items from the cargo area. The X5 has a more squared-off cargo area due to the higher roofline, and it also has the split tailgate that keeps items from falling out when opening it.

The only place you go wrong is that this car is the more attractive between the two cars. The X5 is slightly more “practical”. Plus, it does feel much more like a sedan, which I prefer.

It just me or BMWs like m60i or 550i give old AMG vibes? Like they're fast but they don't scream "hey look i'm really agressive and fast", they just have some nicer wheels and good engines compared to non "M" models
The chassis bridging looks like something out of the Little Rascals.

Is there still an option to not change gauges with every drive mode? In iDrive 6 you could lock it to have only "comfort mode" gauges, could be usefull if someone likes to have rev counter all the time instead of that weird "power %" thing
No keyless entry on the rear doors? Even the 3 Series has that now.
You know something is really really bad when the infotainment and front design of a 110k car are better on a Hyundai, and not even Genesis 😬
Sadly here in Montreal if you rent/buy one long term its the same price as the RS6 😢

I honestley don't know why they did that, but on the pre-facelift the keyless entry worked on the rear-doors aswell. It's the same with the X5, I don't get that

really is a fantastic SUV, this spec looks incredible too. also FYI - BMW SUVs/Grancoupes usually have hooks in the back to hold grocery bags. im pretty sure X6 has it.
Loved my 24 X5 M60i…until a dog caused 60k in damage lol. Vehicle is made of glass, but man was it fun to drive everyday.

As great as the S63 is, I do miss the rumble of the old N63 on the M50i, especially at low revs.

You have an amazing channel and I fully support it. Keep doing a good job! However, this vehicle is absolutely dismal. The concept of a SUV Coupe is also the stupidest idea ever.

they’ve definitely made things feel less exclusive with the amount of M badges on basically everything now.
I’ll tell ya though, full M cars vs M Sport cars drive nothing alike.

Low budget display - no custom binnacle, no controls. I refuse to enter the dystopian world that is current BMW.
Could be worse. Looking at the lack of quality seen with Mercedes even when their pricing is as premium as ever.
I have a 3 series with this interior setup and I can promise you it doesn't feel cheap. Go sit in one. I find it odd that people align their beliefs on quality with things like a gauge cluster binnacle.

@@ARentz07 It costs 20 times more to design a custom binnacle and switchgear. More than anything else this is about cutting costs.

Please don't call it a coupe!
No-one mentions the unacceptably tight seats which are uncomfortable to fit a normally shaped person. These seats are designed to fit the slim fit population. You sit on the seat and not in the seat👎😡 and that is why I just ordered a Porsche Cayenne!
I struggle to imagine something more pointless and vulgar than a "coupe SUV".
I try to be open-minded, but struggle to be anything but nauseated by these.
Good review on a bad vehicle.
