Built my rig this weekend with the help of your build guide video, top notch! Love the case, I value bang for the buck and this really nailed it. My biggest annoyance is what you mentioned with the front hole into the PSU channel at the front. I've dressed the cables really well at great expense of patience but there's still this random hole into the bottom. I'd love for another mesh panel to still allow airflow but make keeping the cables out of sight a lot easier. Great content!
This a cool and easy case to build with. Replace the back fan and bought two more for the bottom (Lian Li Uni Fan SL-Infinity). And flipping the cable bars thing, made it look cleaner, the little things. Glad I watched this video before buying it.
Something to know for people building in this case and planning to upgrade the rear 140mm to the Uni fans for some rgb. Triple check the distance from the top of your motherboards IO shield to the edge of the case, and note the length of your new 140mm fan. I had to bend the metal a tad to shove the fan there, and the back thumb screw to keep glass closed isn't straight in, but it works. If you have a dremel, might be useful.
Great review, thank you Christopher. My opinion regarding adding extra fans (Besides intake and exhaust fans) it only adds noise and dust. So, less fans, is better.
I think you said the maximum gpu length supported was 292mm, I believe its supposed to be 392mm. Easy mistake to make, thanks for the case review mate, well impressed. I am seriously considering this case for the price. I have been looking at the NZXT H9 but its out of stock everywhere and more expensive so not sure if I will wait or just go for the 216.
I'd like to echo what others have said Chris. I'm subscribed to a lot of the big PC tech reviewers/builders and can honestly say your no nonsense, comprehensive reviews and builds are excellent. When I put together my latest build in the Lian-Li O11 EVO it was your video I immediately checked out to confirm my fan layout. I wish you all the best in growing your channel. Also, I can tell you are a fan of Lian-Li, do you have any problems with their L-Connect software?
I recently bought this case, the version without RGB, and for those who don't know as I didn't know, the version without RGB comes without the Lian Li hub. Information that is not given on the website or manual. The front fans use 0.5A (I believe 100%) and, to move the front panel to the side, if in doubt, read the manual, it will help you change it easily. I bought the Arctic pwm hub to control the fans, as it uses a SATA cable and is magnetic.
I see all reviews complain about the rear fan bracket, while I agree its flawed could you not just use a drill and bit to add the extra 2-3 mm required by either new holes or making the current ones slot shaped? Just a thought.
Curious... If mounting nearer to the glass seems better, would it make sense to put that extra GPU fan to exhaust the heat coming off from the GPU? Ie. The fan is in-between the Mobo and GPU rather than what their manual suggested. That way the heat won't rise and be exhausted through the AIO. Did you by any chance test this? Haha
i have watched other reviews ( steve / jay and so on ) but is down to u why i have bought this case and the aio your reviewed in the build you did with ( ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360) thankyou again
Great video. I watched your build video, also great. Can please ask, can you turn off the fans RGB lights from the panel(s) if you want to? I want to leave the PC on at night but switch the lights off.
Thanks for this review it really helps with configuration options I have actually just got this case before seeing this review with the additional module for RGB control as it increases the options further. My question is before I start building it up is how do you link it up to the controller on the back whilst using the existing top module with the on off button etc? Thanks for any advice.
wow stunning!!! if you can build a thorough step by step liquid cooled pc i think your site will grow 10 fold. no one is doing it like you do thoroughly in air cooling.
idk if youre still reading the comments, but in your opinion, could i turn the back fan into intake and install a top LS720 cooler at the top for exhaust? SO 2 intake and top exhaust ?
Great review! I am planning a build with my son and this one looks really nice but it is a bit too big for his space. The Phanteks G360A or Fractal Pop Air would be perfect. Would they be OK?
Hi Chris, another great video. How do you connect both control hub and the optional rgb hub to the motherboard with only one usb 3.0 connector on the motherboard? Or am I missing something. Thanks.
Hello, PLEASE HELP When I set the RGB lighting to a custom color, it always reverts to the default RGB settings when I restart the computer. I don't have an ARGB connector on my board and I'm using a lan216-1 panel. I always thought that would be better. Is it possible to save the color settings somehow?
Hi very good review with build detail. May i check is it possible to add another 120mm radiator (30 or 40mm thick) at the rear exhaust with a top mount 360mm radiator n fan? Will there be enough space to have both top and rear mount radiator?
I think you should have re-run your "horizontal" test with the PCIe power cables on the proper side of the graphics card instead of blocking the fans and case airflow
Another nice review, Chris. I wonder if you'll ever use NZXT case for your content, be it as case review or step-by-step PC build considering they are quite popular case, especially the flow version : H510 flow, H7 flow, or the new H5 Flow 😄
Hey, what 140mm rgb fan would you recommend for the rear exhaust fan? Looking for something that will match the front 160mm fans.... I looked at lian li website and could not find one that works. Something that would easily match the front and have the outer ring and inner ring control. Thank you.
Are you from Ireland? :D My now deceased grandmother was from Ireland and she said "out" (pronounced "ah-oot" in the US, "aight" in Ireland) . Great critique on this case, it was referred to me.
Someone on Newegg said you can't remove all of the plastic cover on the tempered glass panel. Some gets stuck at the top. Is this true in your experience?
@ChristopherFlannigan after watching your video I bought this case I've now decided I'd like to install my Lian-Li 360 aio to the front and place the 2 front fans on the top of the case is this possible?
This case will Be like hens teeth, Expect it to be sold out for a very long time! My alternative to this case will be the NZXT H7 Flow…which again, is silly priced for a great case! Is there any chance you are going to do a H7 Flow Build&Review?
Your videos are the best overview videos any PC building enthusiast could ask for.
Thanks, I appreciate it
You have the absolute best videos. With ALL of the info. Made my first PC build so smooth. Can't thank you enough, hope your channel blows up!
Thanks, I appreciate it
Same for me me, I did my first build in 10 years watching along his Lancool II build vidéo :)
Lian Li, definately has quality cases with alot of options for the price. They put alot of thought into their designs and are very versatile.

Just subbed! I like how calm and informative you are with these videos. Bought the Lian Li Lancool 2 after your setup and review on it :)

really appreciate seeing the temps for all the different configurations. Great review
Thanks for the video! It was crucial on my decision to buy a Lancool 216!
Great review, thank you Christopher. My opinion regarding adding extra fans (Besides intake and exhaust fans) it only adds noise and dust. So, less fans, is better.
This is such a good review, just wish you did an air cooler mode setup
Thank you, I love how thorough your reviews are. The BEST on YT!

I think for the first time, we as consumers should accept we are cheating the company 😅.. this case is just amazing
The problem with this might be supply
@@ChristopherFlannigan Can't see them not making more, if it's as successful as it should be.
@@ChristopherFlannigan ya ..and the few cases that make it to us , might be inflated in price
I’m satisfied to say this case will be used for my first pc build

Where did you get "graphics card length up to 292mm" from? (Time stamp 6:32)
The Lian Li website says "GPU LENGTH CLEARANCE 392mm (max)"
Brilliant review Chris. Cool case
Thanks
Great review! I'm waiting for my local retailer to get this case in stock. I'm excited for my next build.
What a great review . Subbed to the channel
The rear fan not being ARGB is a huge misstep. Especially when the case is upcharged as the RGB version.
My front rgb fans don’t light up. Just run
Just built my new pc in this case and it looks really nice
Would you make a comparison video of the 216 and the Lancool 2 Mesh?
the mesh bottom panel being at the front is for those psu's with lights and power indicators to be visible
Great review! Extremely thorough!
Thank you, Chris! You're The Man!! 👍

Where do I find these front fans? I would like to get the same fans in 120 or 140mm so everything matches.
is it a camera angle or the bottom cage looked like it was twisted / / instead of | |

Hi, I'm choosing between lian li lancool 216 or be quiet! pure base 500 DX BLACK what do you recommend
Well done Chris!
very informative and through, thank you!
Are the 160mm RGB fans PWM or DC?
Lian Li Lancool 216 VS Montech AIR 903 MAX WHICH IS GOOD IN THERMALS?

Lian li lancool 2 mesh vs lian li 216. Which one is better ? Thank you in advanced!
Great review as always. What has the best airflow for both CPU and GPU? 216 or Lancool 3?
I haven't done a direct comparison, but both were very good
Very marginal difference between the two, If you would like to see noise normalized testing comparing the two, check out Gamers Nexus.

Hello bottom ventilators are 120mm or 140mm ? Thanks
when Chris talks, i listen
I like when you say "under load" lol
RGB fan hub is included? I am certain someone mentioned it is sold seperately.
This or Fractal Torrent Compact? =)
It's an optional extra
Can I sync all the RGB fans through the hub? So I can just change all fans (front and aio) with the button
So, this cannot fit a 240m pc cooler with 2 120 fans at the top? There will be a full 120mm of space letting air flow out??
Is it noiser or quieter compared to a Be Quiet 500DX when cooling at similar temperatures?
The extra rear fan is just bizarre. Is this there way of experimenting to see how users cope with having only 1 expansion slot in an ATX case?
Really only for air cooled builds
Hi Chris, another great video. How do you connect both control hub and the optional rgb hub to the motherboard with only one usb 3.0 connector on the motherboard? Or am I missing something. Thanks.
I have and old XSPC 360mm radiator which is 60mm thick and with the fans I have 80mm of thickness. So my question is: would they fit on this case?

Great review mate, better than Gamers Nexus . I live in UK and can't find any Lancool III or Lancool 216 in stock to buy . Do you know why is that ?
What would the front look like with 3 120mm al uni fans? ❤️
Did you mean GPU lengths up to 392mm? Because 292mm is VERY limiting
My fans run but the rgb doesn’t light up on the fans
Does the USB side panel come with the case? or do we have to buy it separately?
No, he said that it comes at extra cost.
Think I could fit a CPU air cooler in there?
Beautiful build...
Bro can I mount 3 UNI SL fans at the bottom of the case? Even though there are 2 exhausts. Please can you try and tell me 🙏
120mm fan
Maximum GPU length supported is 292mm…? Did you mean 392?
Me too 216 rgb 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
Two case "upgrades", 215 to 216 and II Mesh to III with overall worse thermal performance makes you wonder just what Lian Li is trying to accomplish.
Someone on Newegg said you can't remove all of the plastic cover on the tempered glass panel. Some gets stuck at the top. Is this true in your experience?
sounds like you said max of 292mm for gpus.. looked at the lian li webpage and it says 392..
392 is right (verbal typo), the card I use is well over 300

you're wrong about GPU clearance. it's 392 mm clearance support not 292mm as said in the video. get your shit together
It's $150 not $100 - you've bought a riser card and a controller on top of the purchase price remember.
