Thank you! I have a call with talent acquisition coming up soon for a company I’m very interested in and this is such a helpful video to watch to help me prep.
@@CoachErika I did not get that job but I'm in line with other oportunities. Discussing with the recruiter It looks like depending on the job or new trend here in Europe your CV should have much more details regarding your professional experience. Each employer has his CV template that you need to fill in so that the AI can scan and make the best decision regardiung the job openings in the company. Also the employer/recruiter do not have any answers to any questions regarding the company like: How long has the position been open? How did this position become available? Will I have a team or I would be performing by myself the duties? What's the company culture like? What can you tell me about the hiring manager? Do you have a salary range in mind for the position? Unless I qualify for a interview with the hiring manager. So that is it, it left me with bad taste in my mouth the experience and it lookd one sided. :(
I tell my mentees this, and I'll share it with you as well: one or two bad phone screens can just be an internal alignment issue that has nothing to do with you. Take the feedback if you think it's valid, make adjustments as needed to your resume to improve your SEO and fit for the roles you want, but don't take it personally. If you have 5+ recruiter screens in a row that don't move forward, there is something wrong that you need to step back and debug. It can be any of the 4 red flags I discuss in the video. Until then, keep going and keep your confidence up!
however i have a question, i have gone through the screening process and was disqualified because I needed a work visa/ permit to legally work in the country. how do u suggest we approach or respond to such questions in future

I should have watched this video before my phone screening interview last week. My compensation expectation scared her away.

I'm watching your video now and after 10 hours I will have the call, i will let you know after that, many thanks!
Let's gooooooooo! We're rooting for you!

Nothing you can do about needing a visa. Just have to be up front

Not good or but good?
Sorry about the music! I wish I could change it but it's not possible yet in YT. Future videos will have much lower music!
