    All pro ETS2 drivers and americans claiming this truck is too "small" or doesn't have enough power. This is all about traction. The boats weight is clearly faced towards the back and not on the axles of the truck. And that's what they have to deal with and they did. Don't come with your shit or experience saying you know it all better. You weren't there so don't judge. Great video and well done.

    • @mikerouse6004
      @mikerouse6004 5 лет назад +1

      Pimzzle good points. I do this stuff everyday with houses. Heavier truck should put more weight on the drive axles and increase traction. Much greater turning radius so it’s a trade off. Wet road is a bummer.

      I'm not an HGV driver but I did have to take the B+E test which is exactly the same as the HGV test but different class of vehicle. When towing a trailer you have to make sure there's sufficient weight on the hitch to aid manoeuvrability... I guess it's difficult with a load this heavy as the weight is distributed all along the trailer and not much on the hitch?

Wheel chocks, don’t do this after rain, bigger tractor, more spotters, rescue tractor to connect in the event of brake loss or extra weight, don’t drive behind a mega yacht while it’s backing up and like a million other things. • @gabbermaikel
      @gabbermaikel 5 лет назад +3

      @@dutchmoto750 that means he isnt doing the big heavy loads a lot. I know a few guys that did things up to 100 metric tons and 3 meters wide, 25 meters long. So all things you can drive in europe without the yellow vans in front to direct traffic and all. Those people could do that 340miles a day. But now 1 of them is driving the really long and big stuf. That means speed has been cut down A LOT. On the highway you can stil drive pretty wel. But when you are close to destination you need to slow down so much, last 10km might take 2 hours if you have tight spots and all. Or if it dosnt work out how it was planned like in the video.

      James Mag
      Obviously Volvo semi-truck too light for eight axle payload trailer weight ratio and oversized cargo, especially in wet conditions..! In Washington State as well as all 50 States illegal to transport overweight or “oversized cargo” with vehicles not registered within weight class payloads and “oversized cargo” limits..!
      Three factors: weather, weight, and size..! A large item can fall within weight limits of vehicle but oversized cargo creates weight distribution differences and shifts on trailers..! That’s why trailer had eight axles because of weight distribution and not necessarily overall weight..!
      Also in the US you can drive according to register speed limit and receive a speeding ticket based on weather conditions..! Not a typical speeding ticket in general because State Troopers will not engage chase during hazardous weather road conditions.
      But after accident occurrences on wet pavement State Highway Trooper investigations normally determine vehicle speed exceeded “safe road conditions” regardless vehicle traveled registered speed limit..!
      Average Volvo semi-tractor can probably pull within boat weight but trailer axle flexed due to top heavy weight distribution clearly shows Volvo tractor grossly undersized for oversized payload shift..!
      If payment was dry Volvo tractor would maintain traction but since that area receives rain almost daily no doubt video shows corporate leaders incompetence or not willing to fund adequate transportation based on common weather conditions..!
      Corporate leaders specialize crunching numbers often place employees in unnecessary hazardous environments..!
      I see it daily here in the US as well..! It’s labeled as Calculated Risk..! Most of the time it works, but rare occasions it doesn’t resulting insurance companies have to increase prime rates to maintain coverage and/or individual(s) may pay the highest price of all..!
      In the last decade alone US averaged over 5000 work related deaths every year..!

Some of those things can't move at all, if they move 12 inches, they unload, and you just have to sit there while it does.

      I would say the real issue is that all the weight was on the back of the trailer where the two diesel motors are. They should have more weight over the axles sonit wouldnt lose traction so easily. Plus they should have electric motors on the trailer.

      @@matthewchinn324 yes, i agree 100% since i drive heavy equipment everyday. Just wanted to see if the one in the first comment could come up with a reasonable answer to the comment. Also, regarding to the vid and the truck spinning, it seems to be cold, and i belive temperatures could be around freezing point. But improper weight distribution is main cause.

    • @samshotgun6530
      @samshotgun6530 5 лет назад +2

      @@polarViking unbalanced load is right, also it's wet out and as " the Emil" said it looks very cold. otherwise as a diesel mechanic I would say the truck with a good splitter box is fully capable with the help of the trailer. You would be surprised how much weight a diesel engine with good gearing will move.
