I think the passive might be moxie. Gyarados' moves got reduced cooldown after it killed an enemy
I kind of expected Gyarados to have bounce as for the most part the developers seem to choose moves by popular moves that pokemon uses in the actual game.
Too bad Gyarados aint having his iconic Hyper Beam :(

@@uipantera1619it is his only flying stab and pretty much a staple in gen 8 since dynamax flying move was busted
Bounce is not that unexpected for me, it's like the only flying type move gyarados can learn, and TiMi likes having at least one move representing each type in most pokemon
He also gets hurricane as a flying move

Gyarados first moveset kinda feels like Dragonite. It has an atk speed steroid, and a charge that throws pokemon, but waterfall is kinda harder to hit than Extremespeed.
As a dragonite main, I totally agree with you.

Looks like a lane Pokémon. Going into jungle with this looks awkward when you come out still as a Magikarp. It seems with a higher opportunity to score during lane can probably help you evolve.
7:57 yes because gyrados has bounce in it's mainline games' movesets and the reason it's a melee attacker is also because it's a melee attacker in the mainline games
Pretty sure he is not a pokemon fan due to him not even knowing the actual pokemon moves. Bro is even forcing gyarados to be a ranged attacker, like he 's supposed to breathe fire or bubbles.

The moves makes sense especially if you played the regular pokemon games and know his prominent stat is his physical attacks not ranged.
I cant wait for Metagross, its one of the Pokemon I wanted the most for a long time

Gyarados definitely looks strong, but I don't think this mon would be for me. I'm honestly more worried about people griefing with Magikarp
Same, I'm seeing a lot of people talking about how "funny" it would be to not evolve. I just hope I don't get them on my team as it would be a literal 4v5

This is super thematic it's a attack based water flying type and for a long time bounce was its only flying stab option
The gayarados looks amazing .. I love jumping scoring & unite move animation much more than metagross was expecting Agility as one of move for metagross

It gets a pounce move you expect to see on Meowscarada or similar, but a giant sea snake monster is gonna trigger some PTSD

also cris, I don't think u mentioned one thing.. the basic understanding is waterfall is like zoro's night slash.. but there is a small window time where u can stand in the same place and not use a dash.. so my Its more like a night slash zoro with feint's wait time mechanic

I think they should *add water* beneath him permanently even if he didn't use any move because it feels a little bit weird for me to see gyarados moving on concrete
see, here’s the thing. you can find a flying gyarados in legends arceus, so this IS possible

Unlike in legend of arceus here he constantly almost touch the ground, so it's almost feels like he is moving on concrete to me.

another thing to consider is that in the sm anime a gyarados slithers around like a snake. idk man gyarados is a weird ass enigma. is it a fish? a dragon? an ell? we may never know @@justsaying4313

He never used Aquatail correctly, you should check ElChicoEevee gameplay
You're supposed to hold the abbility button, and you can throw up to 5 water waves, with a little dash between each wave. If at least 3 waves hit an opposing pokemon, then you have the second use, that is a finisher, with an area equivalent to Zacian Unite
It would’ve been dope if it had a ranged hyper beam similiar to solar beam
Honestly I think the moves aside from dragon breath look a little clunky but it's so cool that Gyarados is finally making it in! I think it will prefer to go lane and stack since taking damage and scoring fill the meter and it gets free movespeed by getting hit
Elaborating on my issues with the moves
Aqua tail forcing you to stand still to use, but nudging you in the direction you attack. Seems a bit hard to land 3 without the enemy running away too
Waterfall is mostly fine actually but maybe the pauses will feel a bit weird
Bounce doesn't seem much faster than just walking in terms of mobility but for getting into fights or ambushing from grass it looks good. Seems to do nice damage though
Also wow its model is so big compared to other playable characters
Gyarados has higher base attack than sp attack in the games so it is an all rounder
Lucario has higher sp attack than attack and it’s still and all rounder, what’s your point?

Twister is his ultimate, the 2nd part is also whirlpool, dunno hyper beam and pump could also be a better option for dragon breath.
I don't know what you thought but if they didn't add bounce it would have been a travesty idk why there's so much complaints about this.
Bounce is gyrados' only good flying STAB move. That's why people never run a flying move on it except back when z-moves were a thing.

gyrados has huge attack stat and abismal special attack in mainline thats why hes so heavy melee

Gyarados has always been a physical attacker so it make sense to me the Special attack serpents I first think of are Milotic and Serperior but then again this is a MOBA not the main line games 😂
Well it makes sense for Gyarados to be a melee because it's strongest stat in the game is it's physical attack. Despite having special moves like Dragonbreath, Twister, Hurricane, and Hyper Beam.

I play Gard/Ninetails Lapras/Goodra and eldegoss. I've never been able to like an all rounder that fits my playstyle. Gyarados might be it!

Whoever captured this footage needs to learn how to play Unite. It's ta terrible showcase - using the Unite move on wild Pokémon or nothing, and doesn't understand the concept of holding down a move for multiple attacks for Aqua Tail.
