Awh, little Hayes is soo adorable! Who cares about a trend? I still wear bags that used to be 'it' bags and now aren't anymore, as long as you like it & it's functional is what count! The price point on the Matelasse is amazing & it's so beautiful, especially the nude. I still can't decide if I should get it or not, as I don't know how quickly it will lose structure & i'm definitely structured flap girl!

Hello Shea! I'm just wondering if you've had any issues with color transfer on this particular bag? And also do you recommend spraying this bag with any kind of leather protectant to help prevent color transfer and if so what spray would you recommend?
Shea I have the same bag and I love mine too, I fell in love with the color I think it's gorgeous. Here's a tip, it's the chain strap that slips down my shoulder so I put the leather strap piece in front of the chain and the straps won't slip off. Hope that helps.

It sounds like this bag really makes your heart sing! 😃 I feel like everybody looks more stylish when they are feeling awesome in what they're wearing. I love the color of this bag. A perfect nude for sure. I'm not the hugest fan of the new Gucci GG (Marmont) logo, but I see so many people raving about the style and quality of these new items and I think Gucci's new creative direction is definitely the right way for them to go. I'm personally a huge fan of the Soho line with the previous GG logo design 😃 - just recently bought the soho disco in nude and I'm obsessed!

Lovely bag! Have to chime in and concur with the many comments about how thorough and helpful your reviews are! I always have a much better understanding afterwards which helps make me a much more informed collector! I could totally relate to your transition out of the LV PM agenda ... like many, I started out there myself and eventually moved on to the MM and GM size. I suspect that's one of the reasons why there are always so many PMs for sale! ;)

It's such a beautiful bag and you were so lucky to be able to get it in the largest size. At the moment we only have the nude in the smaller sizes here. I have an LV agenda in the MM size and you would be really pushing to fit it in. Mine lives open on the kitchen bench where I can refer to it all day whilst I carry a PM one in my bags. The MM is so much bigger and heavier than the PM because the rings are huge. That suits me down to the ground because I can fit two years of the City Girl Planner annual packs into it easily. But it will only fit in my totes. In a medium size bag there is no way I can fit it in plus my other essentials.

Hi Shea. I enjoy your videos very much. Several RUclipsrs have had trouble pronouncing Matelasse and/or have given incorrect information about what it means. How about I share a little history of Matelasse and its use in interior design (and sometimes, clothing)? Matelasse is a very old French word used to describe a category of woven fabrics that have a quilted or tuckered appearance, usually with a floral or geometric design (including but not limited to the chevron). What makes it special is that the texture and puffiness of the fabric come from the weaving, not from quilting it afterwards. Matelasse has typically been used for upholstery, bedspreads, mattresses (hence, the name Matelasse, from the French, matelasser, to cushion as with a mattress), and sometimes clothing. It is not a kind of leather, as leather is not a woven fabric. I am guessing that Gucci named this quilted bag Matelasse because it evokes the texture of Matelasse fabric, not because it is truly Matelasse. I hope that clears up some of the confusion.

Hi there. I am really contemplating on getting this one however I am from Australia and we don't have the medium size and I'm only 5ft tall so this bag might look too big on me. I love the colour so either size is totally fine with me. Can you tell me a reason as to why you chose the medium size and not the small one? Other than that the small sizes is very comparable to say a Chanel bag or maybe even a diorama bag ? Thanks

Hey Shea thanks for sharing your bag. I always like your vids. As it relates to the LV PM agenda....I use mine as a wallet. Kinda like you use your Chanel mini wallet. I have clear sleeves that hold cards and I use the two card slots upfront for my ID and my major cc. So just a thought-----thx again for sharing. And the babe is OH SO ADORABLE! 😍👍🏼👶🏻
Yes! I've used mine as a travel wallet before...it fits credit cards and my passport PERFECTLY!! It really is a great piece!

I love everything about the bag except the new GG logo, the front snap tab (I find it's too long but it's the design), and the heart. But that color is the perfect blush/neutral shade and I love the chevron pattern. Thank you for sharing! ^_^

Hi Shea! I had bad experience with light colored bags so im having second thoughts going for this color. Can u pls let me know whther you have experienced wearing dark colored shirts/pants and the color transferred to this bag?
It's an expensive luxury bag that should not have problem with color transfer. I have a white Sylvie medium crossbody for about 2 years, wearing with black sweater, blazer and jeans. No problem at all. If you don't ever have a light color bag, should get this one, the color changes with light from dusty pink to neural and sometime in the evening look like light brown or mix kaki. I don't have this but my sister.
