Another absorbing scenic video, Jonas! Lots of hard work getting there, but it was absolutely worth it since your photos were superb! I don‘t know how you manage to talk and video while walking. I certainly couldn‘t do it, so thank you for taking us with you - and am glad you survived to tell another tale!!!
Gorgeous campsites and great photos! I love those trips. Even the scary times. Most people are used to seeing lighting come down from the sky, but up on those peaks, you're IN the storm, not under it. The lightning comes at you or up to you and not down which is terrifying. A good story but not a good time haha
Jonas, I can totally sympathize with the terror in being caught in a hail/sleet/lightning ⚡️ storm ⛈️. Happened to me on Pikes Peak in Colorado (USA) above treeline at about 13,000 ft (approx. 3900 meters). It’s truly terrifying. So glad you’re safe and made it down.
3 things: 1) I loved the time I spent in Chamonix and can’t wait to go back one day. 2) Not a good idea to text/call your wife when things aren’t going well. It will only cause her to worry and lose sleep. There was nothing she could do. So, don’t put her through that unnecessary stress. 3) the weather forecasts in Europe are absolutely terrible. I’ve never seen one that was correct. I’ve seen the forecast say it was currently raining and it was bright and sunny. If they can’t even get the current weather correct, why are so many people so certain they know what they’re talking about with regard to “climate change”?
Thanks for watching. In general the forecasts here are great, in the mountains on hot summers day there is just too much hot air raising and unforeseen storms happen... My wife is made of strong stuff so she can handle a message when not all is well!
@@jeremyhendersonphotography in fairness, it was just the poncho that failed, which it shouldn’t have. 5 years isn’t long enough life for the seam sealing, in my view. Especially since I haven’t used it for more than maybe 10 days total (it’s been packed in the pack for far more days though). Everything else did a great job!
@@jeremyhendersonphotography eller hur! Mitt andra ZPacks tält på 5 år. Helt fantastiskt. Håller inte i en evighet, men klarar nog runt 150 nätter. Otroligt lätt och starkt! Värt varje krona.
Vilken fantastiska vyer och foton, otäckt med åska mär man är högt upp på ett berg. Skönt att allt gick bra.
Tack Lennart!

Type 2 fun! As i look back now, it was a nice trek overall!
@@JonasPaurellUnscripted I'd forgotten about Type 2 fun! haha great term.
Good call on processing those mountain scenes in black and white. It really showed off the great light.
@@tomfoord8860 Thanks Tom!
Looks fantastic! Jonas, fantastic set of images I do like the snapshots. I feel they add more to the travels than just the big epic shots.
Agreed! The epic shots are often just too epic. Trying to hard. Snapshots can be much nicer!

Looks like kit designed for western US is not suitable for European conditions :-)

@@JonasPaurellUnscripted Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder 😂. How did the DCF tent work out?
