Eddie would be thoroughly impressed with your ability and tone. I think Eddie would have said, " I couldn't have done it better myself". Thank you EVH for a lifetime of great music.
To: Van Halen's Family, When I first saw the original Mighty Morphen Power Rangers Movie, I heard this song at the end. It is still in my head on a daily basis. To me, it was (and still is) the most beautiful song he has/had ever produced, and the most beautiful song within the Electric Guitar Era that's ever been produced! Thank you for being the biggest fans he has had!
Wow. Listening to this cover with headphones made me realize that Dreams combines all of Eddie’s past work into one song within 4 minutes. What a masterpiece!! What a fitting tribute to the master. Keep VH alive !
My old man was a big fan of Van Halen, this was my favorite song when i was a kid, had so many memories with my dad, playing air guitar solos and headbanging in the living room of our house. He past away 2 months ago, every time i hear this song it breaks my heart, but at the same time it brings back the most beautiful moments of my childhood, love the video! Cheers my dude!

I ran and grabbed a broom and started playing air guitar to the song and my dad came in my room like "WTF are you doing?". I said "Who is this, Dad?" and he goes "Van Halen. They're a bunch of fuckin hippies" and I said "Well, then I want to be a hippie when I grow up!" and he shook his head and walked away, lol. RIP Eddie Van Halen. And low and behold, On the same day cole uploads this masterful tribute cover of dreams and it’s yet again the best cover of the song. Thanks for this cole, and rest easy Eddie.
As a dedicated long time couch guitarist…I lose the plot when the Mean Street piece comes in…one man two hands - there probably will never be another Edward…breathtaking - and you have succeeded in giving these historic films new life!

If you just hear that sound, it's already a joy, imagine playing it perfectly. Your performance and choice of sound are incredible! Congratulations! (from Brazil)
Amazing tribute cole. One of my favorite songs from my favorite album, 5150. I think it is amazing how many people of the guitar community are making a video for Eddie.
Awesome job! Sounded exactly like the original. Eddie would be proud! “Dreams” has been my most played EVH song these last few days. I was waiting for my day off tomorrow to cover the last solo too. Keep rockin’ my friend🤘🏼
Your phrasing was on point for the definitive parts, and I enjoyed seeing you expressing your talent. I grew up with this song, and I think Eddie would approve.

Man I am a blubbering mess right now. There's been 2 other celebrity deaths that have hit me hard, one was Robin Williams, the other was Chester Bennington. There's 3 guitarists I have looked up to that I can ascribe to the reason I play, Ritchie Sambora, Slash, and the GOAT, Eddie Van Halen. This song in particular holds a very special place in my heart, same as a lot of others here. I remember being 4 or 5 years old, going to the movies for the first time to see Power Rangers with some friends for a birthday. As many know this song was featured in it, and I remember getting home and humming the melody, or some semblance of it. My dad recognized it, and asked where I heard it. And from that moment, me and my dad shared a bond over music that still remains pretty strong to this day, despite not being as close as we once were. Your cover and the passion with which you played it stirred up a lot of emotions in me, and I just want to thank you for breaking open the floodgates so to speak. Thank you. Rock in Power Eddie Van Halen, the world will never know another like him, and anyone who has picked up a guitar in the last 40 years owes that man a debt.
This album was released my Sr. year of high school....good grief! I'm getting OLD! Lol...but good music never dies (especially when you have guys like this covering EVH! This was Awesome dude!)
Great memories from back in 1987, when I got to Korea and all I had was AFNK to watch. This is my go-to song when I am getting ready to go to the street to do my route and I feel some motivation.
Awesome...great loose feel...from one guitarist who plays this song to another-best I've seen/heard....love the extra parts U throw in...the 2 solo's have that flying, uplifting triumphant feel....thanks U sir....and give us more!!!
Superb tribute and it was a very meaningful song . I grew up we ith Van Halen , loved both eras . Saw them in 1995 at 14 as my first concert . Eddie was a legend . Too many focus on eddies technical athleticism , not many talk about his Rhythym guitar playing , his groove and superb songwriting ability. His mastery of melody and Harmony is far more impressive to me . He played the guitar like he was a drummer and pianist . The groove and timing was their along with him playing the chords and scales on a piano utilizing the entire fretboard as a freedom of expression. You are a pro and u did a wonderful tribute thanks
You did an amazing job, thank you so much for doing this. I've listened to Van Halen since I was 5 and I'm 29 now. When I heard of Eddie's passing, I cried my eyes out. God bless you my friend and again Thank you 🥲
