For the battery...Tony is a car guy. He is more likely to snag the 12v out of his Audi for a quick power supply than bother hooking up a proper power supply for testing, even with his unlimited budget and access to advanced tech. Thats Tony Stark... Also, after the car battery basically saved his life after creating the first arc reactor for his chest, he probably became somewhat sentimental to the idea of using one. I love the fact that they tossed something like that in...they included something that is great detail, and helps give the impression of what Tony's work area looks like. Its a mess, and a random car battery accents that perfectly haha.

why didn't they just put the batteries for the chest in the car battery and have one of the cables plug into the battery and have that power the arc reactor, lol
These are not part of their mass shipment of figures. These are part of a review lot that is sent to them via fedex or some other mean by Hot Toys. The rest go through the normal process of shipping.
backerman10 not without removing a glass plate.You have 15 inchs between glass plates or top and bottom ends.This iron man,igor,iron monger,hulkbuster youll have to remove a plate or have a glass plate custom cut to put these in the detolf.I have 3 detolfs.

rawdog268 igor might fit though if you hunch him over all the way but your clearance is 15 inch or 38.1 cm
