One of the best S/S 2020 shows I've seen yet!! A handful of the models just looked comical walking though, not sure what was up with the shoes, most had no issues at all!
recently the designers have switched to much thicker heeled shoes. many with platforms. these were pure stilletos around 5-6 inches in height. my guess would be poor or no training in wearing the type of shoe. dunno what issue the last model in the beautiful yellow dress had though. i kinda doubt it was a wrong size issues because most shows i see there are many models wearing shoes that are a size too big for them and it is easier to do a runway walk in a show a size too small as it prevents your foot from slipping around in shoe. may be a bit uncomfortable, but much more sturdy to walk in.
its unexceptionable in Haute Couture shows. the seamstress cant mess up, the hairstyles cannot, so much energy goes into this for PROFESSIONAL MODELS to wobble down the runway.
It makes me wonder why these designers allow the models to wear such ill fitting shoes when in fact it directly affects the presentation of their designs.
I think it was the HUGE hats, not the shoes. Yes the shoes did seem to be difficult, but when they added the huge hats is when they really seemed to struggle.
one DID fall at 10:18 but it wasn't a poor choice of shoes, go look at older run way shoes of the late 90's and early 2000's. Especially Armani collections. All wore 4-6 inch skinny stilleto shoes and all walked like queens. the real problem is that they will except any thin girl who is over 5'7" and a decent face to be a run way model these days instead of only hiring models who put in the time and training to be able to walk in all styles of shoe, carry all styles of clothing and be able to walk like a star in all situations. Now they'll just throw who ever on the run way regardless of their abilities. Poor choice of models. Not shoes. Very common style of shoe used for runways. Though the designers have been going much "nicer" on the shoe front as of late, having them wear blockier style heals with platformed toes, very low heals and flats.
I saw 3 pieces I would wear, the rest I would put in a vase for my dining room table center piece, and use the rest for a most gorgeous window treatment.

yes, i would not have let that girl walk down the runway in that dress. i wouldve taken one of the other girls whom are obviously more experienced. i often see models wearing shoes a size to big for them and they rarely have a problem. she was definitely wearing a platform shoes.....so unlike the other ladies it wasn't just a 5 or 6 inch stilletto with no platform to ease some of the skinny height. would've been the perfect girl had she had more experience walking in bridal dresses and what not. amazing dress. would own. 100%
15 were worthy of Oscar red carpet appearances. More than that could be worn effectively by rock stars during stage performances. Good to see the attention to male attire.

It may have been her feet. Another model had a similar hard time in the shoes. Flat feet and high heels do not mix, it looked like her feet were sliding forward and the shoes were going sideways.
