Water Krom is pretty much the main necessary contract hero. The dupes are nice but not entirely necessary. I think I'm around 200 pulls now and I've only gotten three heroes: one from the first free 10 pull, one from after 90 pulls, and one today randomly. Only one was a dupe so far, so unfortunately the chances are so low that there isn't really any "going for" anyone reliably. I would say that Water Lucilicca, Earth Lucilicca, and Water Walther are all very nice to have among the contract heroes beyond W Krom, especially W Luci for boss killing with sap.
@@nyrisgaming so with my W. Krom account I got F. Nine then I made another account was able to get W. Lucilicca and E. Lucilicca. Which account should I keep?
@@sekcbeast6713 That one's difficult, because W Krom is useful pretty much everywhere but F Nine is almost used nowhere, while E and W Luci are both solid to amazing boss killer units, so it'll come down to a choice between the best AG booster in the game and a mediocre tank vs. one of the best snipers/the best sapper in the game and another solid boss killer. Honestly I'm leaning towards the dual Lucis and just get Krom from the contract.
It's a fun twist on what we've already got going, just wish the linkstones were more...available. I don't think we've seen one as an ad reward since the update launched...
The grind is slow and I think seeing all the paid heroes intimidates people, but for free to play your list of good options are still quite large and diverse.

Is this feature available as soon as you start or do you have to clear the story first?
I believe you have to finish story stage 1-3 iirc
Hopefully all the characters will be Summoning in the future bc I don't want to pay for every character
