SSD are for backup purpose. Not for regular read and write function. Because life of SSD is in the number of data used in read and write. Not on the usage time. Where as hard disk life depends on the usage times.
You can see some people are saying in this comment section that ssd is not for backup. Its only for os. For backup you need hdd. I can't decide. I thought ssd's are more durable than hdd's. But now I am confused.
SSDs are for OS partitions like /boot and /root in Linux. Where you will mostly read than write. Also, least important files can be kept in the home directories, like Download, Documents etc. So even if SSD crashes, you will have the backup in cloud or another HDD. It is definitely not for backup, why would you need super fast read/writes for backup devices? I would rather take advantage of fast read/write for daily usage than backups.
