  • My Travel To Hiroshima In Japan on 6th of August. In this video you will find entire travel guide and knowhow of travelling to Hiroshima. I also met an atomic bomb survivor, Mito Kosai who spoke to us. Listen to the survival story of his family and his efforts to promote peace.
I planned my trip to Japan in August so that I can climb mount Fuji and visit Hiroshima on 6th August. Both of my experiences were worth the hustle.
Visiting Hiroshima was one of the greatest experience, and I highly recommend it. The place where first and the only time nuclear weapon was dropped in an armed conflict.
0:40 Sec - Going to Hiroshima
Best & fastest will be train. Take Tokaido or Sanyo Shinkansen lines. It will take 1 hour 30 minutes to reach with cost of 10,570 yen or 6000/- INR.
    2 m 55 s - History of Hiroshima Atomic Bombing
On 6 and 9 August 1945, the United States detonated two atomic bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively. The bombings killed between 129,000 and 226,000 people. Japan surrendered to the Allies on 15 August, six days after the bombing of Nagasaki and the Soviet Union's declaration of war against Japan and invasion of Japanese-occupied Manchuria.
8 m 48 s - Story of Sadako Sasaki, the girl behind folding 1000 cranes. Near the atomic bomb dome, you will find a place with thousands of colorful origami dedicated to a little girl who became a victim of the atomic bombing at the age of 2. She survived for another ten years. She is remembered through the story of the more than one thousand origami cranes she folded before her death at the age of 12.
10 m- Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum : dedicated to documenting the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. If you are interested in history then you must visit. I was in tears reading the stories written there. You can see shadow of a man on a wall who was burned on the spot. Burnt remains of clothes and other things from the bombing site.
Entry fee was 130 Rs. and opening hours - 8:30 am to 7 pm.
12 m - Interview with Mito Kosai , an atomic bomb survivor. Listen to the survival story of his family and despite the damage his positive attitude for promoting peace.
He mentioned, Indians were amongst top 6 nationalities visiting Hiroshima.
