How to Needle Felt a Sugar Skull Mask (beginner needle felting project)

Today, I'm felting a sugar skull mask. This mask was inspired by Day of the Dead and can be made in honor of someone you love, as a wall mask, or (if you want to cut out eye holes and a nose hole) it can be worn as a mask for Halloween.
There are so many beautiful designs and methods that can be used here, so please don't limit yourself. I am focused on needle felting, mostly with wool cut outs, but I have used some roving and batting as well. I would have liked to use more hand embroidery, but I felt the design looked good without it - I didn't want to create chaos in my project. Know when to stop. ;)
