This is part 1 in our KTM/ Husqvarna 450 and 500 complete engine rebuild series. In this video, we begin the process with getting the engine removed from the motorcycle's chassis so we can start tearing into the engine and get it rebuilt. The steps shown here will be very similar for other late model KTM and Husqvarna 450 and 500 dirt bike models. Stay tuned for this series to see the complete engine disassembly and rebuild process.

Is it worth rebuilding a 125 engine vs buying a new one?
Hmm, like buying a new bike? If it's a 125 two stroke, it's usually quick, easy and cheap. I say go for it. We have a YZ125 top end rebuild and YZ250 full engine rebuild videos that can give you an idea of what you'll be getting into. -Charles

I just got a 2007 the 450 could I get a quote emailed to me for a complete over hall I got the bike with alot of extras for my first dirt bike for a grand time to get back into turning wrenches I stopped working on stuff when I got out of the service and couldn't get to wrench on chinooks anymore
