@@Colt-bd2mv I thought that after the NEC issues they needed to do it to recover the situation. They seem to have an inadequate setup period and too few members available to avoid problems.
@@sja45ukit’s a community group. They all do it for free and have jobs. They have enough members, it’s just they do a huge amount of building. And there is nowhere they could ever realistically build & test a 200+ foot layout. And for this event they aren’t taking the whole 200+ feet so they don’t need to rent out space to test it. They can do it at Chester.
@@Colt-bd2mv I know, but it is just more pressure than they need to put together a novel combination of old and new boards at the cathedral without having pre-assembled it !!

@@sja45uk they’d have to transport it and assemble it twice then. Which would be even more trouble.
