I agree regarding cows Andrew. Me and the wife were chased when we were courting. I literally cobbed her over a fence to get to safety and then followed her. A bloke I know has been in a wheelchair for the past 30 years after being trampled. I've never been to high cup nick but it looks spectacular . Tfs, Paul
Thanks for sharing Paul comments like this I hope people see....lots of folk don't realise the dangers of Cows especially with Calfs breeds like Dairy and Friesian while walking with a dog can be very protective...its a fact that cows are the most dangerous animal in the UK on average every year three people are killed by them... Thanks for watching bud very much appreciated Andy and The ROCK STAR Billy Foster ⭐
I did the High Cup Nick fell race in 2019 we ran up the valley and down the route you walked up , when i clambered up to the top of the valley and over the top of the cliff i looked over my shoulder and the view was astounding, i couldn't stop to enjoy but did make a mental note to return and walk it. I think my daughter is interested in doing it with me.
Yep I know what your saying first view I got of High Cup Nick a few years back I was absolutely amazed....jaw dropping stuff!! Thanks for watching bud have a great weekend ATVB Andy and The ROCK STAR ⭐
Marvellous stuff, thanks for sharing. High Cup Nick has been on my to-do list for ages, but when we're in that part of the world we always seem to find something better to do in the lakes. Maybe next time! Thanks also for the gpx file; I've never downloaded one before, but have just got a new Garmin which allows that, so I'm going to test it out! ATB

We live in Penrith and have only attempted one north Penine walk….we were thwarted by Friesian cows , sounds funny but my wife was terrified and wouldn’t go past them ….another great walk Andy 👌
Thanks Neal much appreciated...aye Cows can be very protective and unpredictable especially Friesians and Dairy so I don't blame your wife I'm OK with cows on my own no problem usually just show them who's boss and they back off...with a dog though... NO WAY!!! I'll avoid them at all cost.. Have a great weekend bud ATVB Andy and The ROCK STAR ⭐
One of my favourite English locations first visited on my South to North Pennine Way in 1976 prior to joining the Army, next visited on my 1980 PW North to South hike after leaving the Military, and last visited last year to celebrate my 65th Birthday Hike from Darington via road walking to Barnard Castle on my first day, day 2 Barnard Castle to High Cup/Dufton via the Waterfalls on the River Tees, for an overnight rest in the YHA. Day 3 Dufton to Kirkby Stephens overnight YHA, Day 4 Kirkby Stephens to Keld via the B6259 so I could visit Pendragon Castle, Day 5 Keld via road A684 to Hawes to revisit High Force followed by a river walk via Aysgarth Falls then back to the road walk to Richmond and onward via local bus back to Darlington for my return overnigh coach to Braintree in Essex. Loved every step of the way and only wished I could still do the miles. Thanks for sharing such magnificent scenery to this now acimmatise Southerner who deep down inside is still a Grimsby lad who watched a live tv broadcasts at 3am of Neil Armstrong step onto the Moon in the Summer of 1969. Hey Andy, wonderfully filmed, what a beautiful place and I had never heard of it before, would love to go. Shame about the restrictions around there but you ain't gonna go there without Billy. This place has been on my list for a while now, this hasn't put me off!
