    This is so useful! There are so many words for hold/carry/bring that I always hesitate about the right word to use

      Ohhhh good word! อุ้ม is to hold someone or an animal. Usually we use our arms to wrap around or put on our back.

    I assume the ถือ/tĕu is the same as in the Thai word for smart phone/cell phone (which in Thai would translate as a "handheld").
