Thanks to the 26 million Soviet deaths, we are free and alive today. Eternal glory to both those who fought in this terrible conflict and did or never came back.
I kinda wish my country celebrated victory day too, we also suffered under German occupation and we also fought against it, either through military or partisan combat. Every nation on earth, including the former axis powers should celebrate victory day, because even though they were its cause, their people still wanted for it to end and be liberated.
Respect to the Soviet and Russian people who fought for our freedom from Greece

@@xdalion7398 Вы смысла не поняли. Смысл в том, что при любой другой система победа далась бы нам непомерно труднее. Потому нужно знать и помнить - под чьим началом и руководством нам удалось одержать победу..

To all people who live in Ex-USSR(Russia, Belrus, Ukraine, Baltic states and etc) always remember what your grandpap and great grandpap had to do so you can live in peace and freedom.
And there was Anti-fascist resistance in Yugoslavia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and many occupied countries

There's a lot that has been going in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus lately. It's easy for me to say this as an outsider, but hopefully people can take a quick pause, put aside current grievances (e.g., Russian-Ukrainian conflict, protests, etc.), and pay tribute to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War since that they had fend off literal annihilation.
Our "leaders" keep us divided so we can't take their power away. I fear only through another great tragedy we can finally come together again, but at what cost. I feel like we are the monkeys from that Simpsons meme. The same people who divide us now are the ones who were traitors in the 40s. Never forget history becasue they will try to push their own.
@@notgoddhoward5972 if you are talking about Covid, i believe we have to take at least part of the responsibility. We did not listen to the people who had knowledge on the matter and this is where we ended up. I believe in the existence of the disease but if our "leaders" start doing illogical things or even though we are doing everything we should it all continues, i will probably start doubting it. What i am doubting is the capability of our current governments to put aside money and focus on protecting their people. In most countries it could have ended from the first 4 months.
