I get it, but that’s a little one sided in my opinion. It’s foolish to think kids won’t have sex, and it is also daft to think all households are sane and reasonable with their teenagers. It comes to personal accountability and liability. As a parent you want to be informed and involved with your child’s healthcare, especially a procedure that can have extreme consequences. I would never lay a finger, operate, or stitch up another parents, or guardians, child without their permission, unless it’s life or death. You can’t expect the majority of good parents to be ok with somebody doing a medical procedure without their consent. In a perfect world the stigma of abortion would be nonexistent and parents would face the fact that kids have sex and would want to do what’s best for their child with no judgements. Educate kids on safe sex, mental health, and biology. Hopefully that will blossom into a new generation with more accepting parents and better laws to ensure safe procedures of this kind with a society that will see it for what it is, a medical procedure.

It surprises me you think most films are right or centrist. I’m a moderate liberal, married to a right-winger (I try not to engage when he starts ranting, or I might throttle him), and I’m constantly hearing from him about liberal Hollywood. It’s made me notice how much of a liberal slant the average movie has, which I’m personally in favor of. If you are a Sanders supporter you may think the Hollywood norm is conservative, but if you look at the whole political spectrum, movies (and journalism) are definitely left of center, overall.
