i always get teary eyed listening to this song . my gramps died a while back in 2007 due to cancer & this song came out right after . i remember my mom crying on the couch listening to this song & telling me that grandpa is going home now . i miss & love you so much grandpa , not a day goes by that i dont think of you
my dad said he heard this song on the plane coming back home from the war and he cried. now hearing this song makes me so glad he made it back safely. i always have to give him a hug after i hear this song. this song does make me cry sometimes for my bff's dad though. he never made it back.
I first heard this song coming home from a long deployment in Afghanistan and no matter how many times I listen to it I can never get tired of hearing it... It just puts me in a good space everytime it comes on... R.I.P. to all the fallen soldiers and I salute all those still serving, have served and will serve in the future.

I am like 12 and I remember being 3 sitting on my couch screaming because he was about to preform on American Idol, I think it was like season 4 or 6??, I never knew so much talent could ever come out of Roanoke Rapids but he did and he is AMAZING!! I have and always will be a Daughtry fan, his music is just so deep and it always hits close to home but I don't think I could live with out hearing this voice. When I was little it was litterally the ONLY thing that kept me from crying. I say threw his concert at the fair one time sitting right by the speakers, I was the only little kid there but I think I knew more words to his song than ANYONE else there!! I love Chris soo much, he is abso-positively my FAVORITE singer/songwriter ever!!!!

I've lost my dad 3 days ago after 14 years of fighting to an awefull disease.. This song makes me hold on these days and lets me smile while i'm crying. He has his rest now.
I am at my family home and maybe I will become fortunate enough to have my ex wife as a lifelong friend but true loves never dies. So as she has moved and I can now I have nothing but respect appreciation for the life lessons about love. Thank you Jenn and I will find someone start a family and make sure my family knows how you meant and still meant to be.
