Kripp is an amazing teacher! Doing my seccond arena in the new expansion with a hunter im on 6-1! Lost the first game to a priest with a mad deck ( Nefarian, Ragnaros, Kazakis).
at the last play, wouldn't ogre into highmane followed by flame strike then flame cannon have been better? full board clear means there would have been basically no way for him to have died.
Hey kripp you should do a troll challenge. Always pick the first card but make sure to see what you are missing out on and see how far up you can go.
By "drafting differently this time" he means he got slightly more early game than he usually does, and then you know, you still have the usual double Flamestrike and Mage shenanigans.
I think that at 18:21, not trying to trade with Fel Reaver is a misplay. If the secret was Explosive Trap, the opponent would have lethal the next turn. Also, the only way the opponent could've won the game was if the Fel Reaver attacked face.
18:19 Why not trade the 6/6 into the Highmane then Flamestrike+Flamecannon to clear the board? (I know this wouldn't work if the secret was Freezing Trap or Cat Trick, but I think it's better than leaving a hunter with an 8 attack minion when your hp is at 12)

18:20 : I dont get why he is going face there. Attack the 8/8 Flamestrike + Storm. He has enough spells to deal with a big minion top deck. He has a Fireball in Deck and a Tome to get potential direct damage. The hunter needs to survive 6 Turn with pure heropower lethal. There was no need for tempo imo.
That last game's ending could have been played way better.
Why didn't he flame cannon instead of lightning storm at the end? It would have killed the fel reaver lol

Hey Krip, first of all i have been watching you for quite some time, your videos helped me grately.
I have but a small question, that probably was already asked dozens of times, yet I am too lazy to look for it among all those comments - would you mind telling me what program are you using as deck tracker and that is whoing you most played cards in the arena from among those that you can pick? that would help me grately as i have usually 2-4 wins on the arena...

18:23. He should have attacked the Savanna with his ogre, used flamestrike, then used flame cannon. Would have been a full board clear. His opponent next turn would have had 5 damage, putting krip at 7. Hunter at 8, he could have used tome next turn and put his blackwing tech on the board, and either pinged face bringing both their life totals to 7 or played sheep.
kripp wanted to try different play style so he drafted more aggressive deck with cards that generate value from discover effect. so he drafted one card differently than suggested by hearth arena
I have a question. When you draft in the arena are the cards random? because I saw people have epics and legends in their deck but when I draft I don't get any. One time I didn't even get any board wipes
If anyone besides Kripp get a deck with 2 flamestrikes, It is "Absolutly Overpowerd Insane Shit". If Kripp draft a deck with 2 flamestrikes he's like "meh, no totally bad".
Someone should do a compilation of Kripp saying their opponent won a roll for the game and then cutting to him winning anyway, seems like it happens just about every other game.
When he said "Pick aggressively", he really meant "pick two cards different than a computer program designed with deck building algorithms would chose". Both astute and innovative I'd say.

In the last game for me it was a obvious flamecannon (and hope it gets the fel reaver) than attack than flamestrike. Are there other plays kipp can do to win? I dont understand why so many people want him to play tome, how could it helped?

I run Blubber in buff Pally. Blubber Baron gets tripple buffed by Dopplegangster because he triggers off battlecry minions, not battlecries, and each dopplegangster has a battlecry. I also think he could be good in evolve shaman as an alternate win con because if you go all in with evolve, you're gonna have a lot of battlecry minions in your deck, and he procs off the evolved minions too. He's a cool card.

Average Mage deck?! You have Etheral Conjuror, 2x Flamestrikes, Bog Creeper and high quality early cards with card draw and removal. That's easily above average.

I watch all videos each day but id still like some advice on picking certain cards and why your picking them ect... Just thought maybe you would be able to teach myself and even some of your other viewers on how to build decent arena decks.

You should have switched the title from "A Different Take on Mage Arena" to "Same Take on Mage Arena With the Better Results". You just drafted the best options presented every time and as a result your curve was dead standard.

I seriously seemed to be cursed in arena. I had two excellent decks in a row that I simply couldn't get past 4 wins with. Every time I lost, it's safe to say that the opponent either had a god hand or every perfect answer. This probably sounds like standard whining, and some of you will be all "git gud scrub", but that isn't it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not at the pro level where I take into account every card and whatnot, but I'm an above average player, and I don't understand why I can't get past 4 fucking wins.
